My experience with Mr. Boyd’s law firm has been nothing short of exceptional. Jon’s knowledge of Texas law and years of experience dealing with child custody, make him an invaluable resource for any parent. From our first consultation, through several interactions, and until the complete settlement; Jon and his staff provided timely correspondence, and insightful advice on the laws and statutes pertaining to child custody, helping me navigate Texas legal system. MR BOYD Failed to file the proper documents to the Court resulting in a hearing that went totally south in favor of the abusive mother et.al. Delayed submitting damaging evidence to the Court. Asked me on multiple occasions. "HOW MUCH MONEY DO YOU HAVE TO SPEND ON THIS CASE". Thats quite the loaded question. He filed an intervention (without affidavit mind you) sent a stranger ANOTHER ATTORNEY FROM HIS FIRM WHOM we never HAD ANY CONTACT WITH EVER to the hearing who briefed me on my intervention for 10 minutes immediately before the hearing\- yet he wasn't even aware that my intervention wouldn't be heard because Mr. Boyd failed to submit an affidavit with the petition. Mr. Boyd later after the hearing said to me "oh I knew OPC was going to oppose ". Really?? than how was the attorney you sent to the hearing to represent us under the impression that my intervention would be heard....since, he briefed me on the intervention! It seems reasonable and fair to believe that the attorney (we never met or spoke with) assumed the affidavit was filed with the Court - otherwise why would he be briefing me on the intervention 10 minutes before the hearing? OR MR. BOYD JUST SENT A MAN IN A SUIT TO SHOW UP AT the HEARING!!! MR. BOYD WAS BUSY DOING OTHER THINGS. I am yet to receive Mr. Boyd's legal opinion citing the Texas Law that would even consider an 'intervention'. At this point, I have requested this several times, he does not reply. My conclusion....there is no legal merit.

I was overly impressed with Mr. Boyd. He listened to me and took the time to explain everything in detail. In the end he got me everything I asked for he is highly recommended.

My boyfriend and i hired Jon Boyd with hopes he could help us win my boyfriends son back into our home. When we met with him he was straight up about everything. Didnt give us any false promises, no lies, not salesman like at all. He new exactly how everything would play out from beginning to end of court. When we finally had court it went JUST THE WAY WE HOPED. He didnt stop fighting and we won. We won a hard case that really had no chance. Working with Jon was a very pleasant experience. Jon is very professional, knowledgeable, and reasonable lawyer to work with. He was easy to reach and communicate with at every step of our case. He was very good at anticipating what the “other side” would have to say and how they would ask questions. His witness prep helped me be prepared for being on the witness stand and handling questions/answers. We never felt alone throughout the process and had the feeling that Jon was invested in our case and had the same outcome desire that we did. As you can imagine, fighting for custody of your child is a very emotional experience – despite that, we felt Jon was in our corner every step of the way. After hiring an attorney that seems like he was working for the other side, we finally hired Jon to take over our case. He made us feel at ease from the beginning. My husband was facing back child support for several thousands of dollars and he had already paid it. Jon took on the case and had the OAG dismiss the child support case. He also helped my husband get more time with the kids. Originally we were only getting them every other weekend per the OAG order. Now we have them half the time and their mom has them the other half. We cannot thank Jon and his paralegal Tiffany enough for all their hard work. After four years of following our original divorce decree my ex-wife decided that she wanted to change my visitation schedule and to reduce the amount of my visitation time. I found Mr. Boyd through a Google search, liked what I read, and decided to hire him. The matter with my ex-wife was ultimately resolved after a three hour trial. I couldn't be happier with the results! I can attest first hand that Mr. Boyd has a comprehensive and up-to-date understanding of the law and that his trial skills are second to none. The most important thing to me in this world is my child. If you feel the same way, I strongly encourage you to get the best possible legal representation available to help you face whatever challenge is coming at you. Mr. Boyd is one of the best. You will not be disappointed by any aspect of his service.

Jon was extremely inattentive and virtually never returned calls or emails. His advise to move forward with my case was a calculated error according to several attorneys I consulted after my case was heard. Jon was not prepared against very junior opposing counsel in his arguments, cross and direct. I cannot recommend this lawyer at all.

I hired Jon for my divorce after firing my first attorney, in early 2013. My first attorney gave me poor advice, and so I started with less than adequate custody. Jon helped me fight for 50/50 which I got in late 2013. He then again stepped up to bat for me when in October of 2014 CPS essentially took my son away from my ex, and he succeeded in getting me permanent sole custody. He was never once late with a document, late to court, or late to a meeting. Anytime something came up, I was contacted as far as possible in advance to let me reschedule (and remember, this happens ALOT with lawyers - don't be offended, it's just how the court system works!). Along the way (over two years) there were a few times (two or three) when calls or emails to Jon's office took a little longer than I expected to be answered, but all-in all Jon and his staff were excellent, and I could not be happier with the outcome! I have no qualms about recommending him, and would absolutely use him again.

My experience as Jon's client was stellar and I can't imagine having gone through everything the last few years without him going to bat for me. My case was a high conflict child custody modification. Jon is incredibly knowledgable and he expertly applied this knowledge to my case. To anyone in need of a caring but competitive lawyer I would like to recommend Jon Boyd. We were very happy, not only with the outcome of the case, but also with every step throughout the process. We contacted him with a paternity issue. After 10 years of child support and constant mistreatment by the child's mother my husband found out that the presumed child was not indeed his biological son. We immediately contact the office of Boyd for legal assistance. The receptionists were very kind and helpful, they rapidly scheduled an appointment for us and in less than a week we were already meeting directly with the lawyer. Although it is a new law, he was very knowledgeable about it. He is very efficient and charge you only for the amount necessary to achieve the best outcome.
