Paul Richardson is Absolutely the very Best Speeding Ticket Dismissal Attorney in Dallas, Texas, period. Y'all Save His # 972- 801-2500, now! I got a speeding ticket of 31 miles, yes 31 miles over the speed limit (71 in a 40mph) and Paul successfully kept it off my driving record, wow! Some attorneys wanted $500 and several turned my case down but not Mr. Richardson's intake assistant Lacy. She encouraged me to pay them the $90 and promised Paul would take care of me and he sure did. THANK You!!! : ) FYI: Paul also handles criminal defense, Felonies, Misd A,B,&C

Todd is the absolute best, I consulted with another attorney prior to hiring Todd, and Todd's keen attention to detail is what prompted me to hire Todd on the spot. I was accused of something that would have drastically altered my life trajectory. Todd was able to get the case dismissed, allowing me to continue on my path. Highly recommend Todd to anyone seeking a highly skilled, trained, and effective attorney!

If you find yourself in a bind, contact Todd immediately to represent you. He was able to take my case from start to finish and kept me informed every part of the process. I was found not guilty for my DWI and couldn’t be happier with the result. This case may have gone differently if Todd wasn’t my attorney. His team is also phenomenal to work with. He is worth every penny and also takes a genuine interest in your life.

We recently moved to Texas and needed to find a law firm to amend our trust and wills. My husband and I did extensive research to find the perfect law firm when we found Weeks Law Firm in Plano. We were spot-on in our choice. Our attorney, Jennifer Finch, is a perfect fit. She walked us through everything involving wills and special needs trusts with regards to Texas laws (which to "laypeople" can be daunting). Her professionalism and demeanor, I can not praise enough. We feel 100% covered. My husband and I highly recommend Jennifer Finch and Weeks Law Firm.

We were faced with an unthinkable set of circumstances that turned our life upside down. Our son who has special needs was unfairly arrested facing multiple charges. The police arrested our son against our will in our own home for domestic violence. They didn't care that he suffered from mental illness including severe Tourette's syndrome. I explained to the police about his mental illness and all they cared about was making an arrest. We explained to the police that our son had certain illnesses beyond his control and we did not want him unfairly arrested. It was about 2.00am and he was arrested, taken out of our own home and off to jail he went. I called family and friends for advice and help. We called several attorneys in the middle of the night but in our gut we were just not comfortable. We Googled and came across the Wilder Law Firm. After reading countless Google reviews we decided to call them. We met with Doug, Morgan, and Ronnie. They listened to us for what felt like hours. I watched them intently and they genuinely cared and listened. They didn't tell us what we wanted to hear; they told us the truth. They felt the police were wrong and they would fight until this was resolved. We knew right away that we were going to use them. Well after six months we received a call from Morgan that ALL charges were dropped. Doug, you and your team are amazing!! We as a family we have to give a special personal thank you to Morgan. Without her incredible guidance, hours spent, and knowledge of the law there is no way other than this review could we thank you enough!!! Simply put; the best Criminal Defense Lawyers in Dallas! Thank you, Marina & Blake

I had several items with weeks law 1) trust 2) special needs guardianship. After much frustration I moved the trust legal work to another law firm and was very happy new lawyer who took time read the documents. In 2+years, I still have to chase the weeks law firm for updates and no progress. If I ask around, the weeks law firm is the recommended go to place. In my practical experience, the work has been slow and sloppy. I do want to add Daniella and Rachel are very kind pleasant to work with.

  4. What is your approach to resolving cases like mine?
Learn about their strategy, whether they prefer negotiation, mediation, or litigation.

Can a Lawyer Represent Me in Courts Outside of Plano, Texas?

Whether a lawyer can represent you in courts outside of your city or state depends on their licensure and the jurisdiction of the court:

  • Within the Same State:
Lawyers licensed in a particular state can typically practice anywhere within that state, including all cities and counties. They can represent you in both state and federal courts located in that state.
  • Outside of Their Licensed State:
If your case is in a different state, the lawyer must be licensed in that state to represent you. However, there are exceptions:
    • Pro Hac Vice Admission: An out-of-state lawyer can request special permission to represent a client in a specific case in another state. This requires filing a motion with the court and often working in conjunction with a local attorney.
    • Federal Courts: If your case is in federal court, a lawyer licensed in any state may be able to represent you, provided they are admitted to practice in that particular federal court.
  • International Representation:
For cases outside the United States, different rules apply, and the lawyer may need to comply with the foreign country's legal requirements or collaborate with local counsel.

It's important to discuss your specific situation with the lawyer to determine if they can represent you in the desired jurisdiction and what steps may be necessary to do so.

How to Check the Credibility of a Lawyer

Before hiring a lawyer, it's crucial to verify their credibility and ensure they're qualified to handle your case:

  • Verify Their License:
Check with your state's bar association to confirm the lawyer is licensed and in good standing. Most state bar websites have an online directory for this purpose.
  • Experience and Specialization:
Ensure the lawyer specializes in the area of law relevant to your case. Review their website, professional profiles, and case history.
  • Disciplinary Record:
Look up any history of disciplinary actions or complaints through the state bar association's records.
  • Client Reviews and Testimonials:
Read reviews on legal directories like Avvo, Martindale-Hubbell, Google, or Yelp to gauge client satisfaction and experiences.
  • Professional Memberships:
Membership in professional organizations or specialty bar associations can indicate a commitment to their field and adherence to high ethical standards.
  • Awards and Recognitions:
Honors from reputable organizations reflect expertise and a positive reputation in the legal community.
  • Consultation Assessment:
Use the initial consultation to evaluate their communication skills, responsiveness, and willingness to address your concerns.
  • Ask for References:
A credible lawyer should be willing to provide references from past clients who can speak to their abilities and professionalism.

What Should I Prepare for My First Consultation?

To make the most of your initial meeting with a lawyer, come prepared with:

  • Relevant Documents:
Bring all documents related to your case, such as:
    • Contracts or agreements
    • Correspondence (emails, letters, texts)
    • Legal notices or court papers
    • Financial records (if applicable)
    • Evidence (photos, videos, receipts)
  • Written Summary:
Prepare a concise written summary of your situation, including key dates, events, and parties involved. This helps the lawyer quickly understand the context.
  • List of Questions:
Write down any questions you have about your case, the legal process, fees, or the lawyer's experience.
  • Financial Information:
If your case involves financial matters, bring relevant documents like pay stubs, tax returns, bank statements, or invoices.
  • Contact Information:
Provide details of any witnesses or other parties relevant to your case, including their names and contact information.
  • Personal Identification:
Bring a valid photo ID for verification purposes.
  • Pen and Notebook:
Take notes during the consultation to remember important points discussed.
  • Budget Constraints:
Be ready to discuss your budget and any financial limitations so the lawyer can provide appropriate guidance on fees and payment options.
  • Openness and Honesty:
Be prepared to discuss your case candidly. Full disclosure allows the lawyer to give accurate advice and anticipate potential challenges.
