I was involved in a major accident back in December 2023. I initially retained Ben Abbott's firm on a recommendation from a friend. That turned out to be an incredibly bad decision, as Ben Abbott's firm did virtually nothing but attempt to run up unnecessary medical bills and prolong the process. The "therapy" that I received from their doctors was totally worthless, but they continually told me, "Just keep going to therapy, it's a long process." I was referred to Steven Wright Law by a different friend, and oh what a change!! Jason Klotz and his assistant, JoLetta Gates, took my case and immediately starting working. Their knowledge and expertise drove the process to a very successful conclusion. No lawsuits, no court costs, no lengthy legal battles, just a happy settlement to an otherwise difficult situation. JoLetta was able to negotiate my medical bills down to a much more palatable amount and I was thrilled. She rocks!! (And their doctors actually helped me!) I can't say enough about Steven and his amazing staff. I hired SWL to handle a car accident case. I called the office hours after the accident happened and they immediately gave me information on what to do next and had me in the doctors office the next morning. I saw 4-5 doctors and specialists over the course of a year for what turned out to be a pretty serious injury to my back. Throughout the entire process, Joletta, his paralegal, was incredible at keeping me informed and answering any annoying question I had. God bless her for dealing with me for the 3.5 years it took to get this case to trial. Over and over Steven asked me to trust him in the handling of the case - the insurance company was doing all they could to avoid paying for these injuries. They hired a fancy out of town law firm to defend them against our lawsuit in Dallas County, but once the jury was finally picked and heard the case over almost 3 days, Steven won a verdict of $273,000 for me! It took all I had to keep from crying as I stood there and heard that judge read the verdict. There isn't another lawyer I'd ever let handle an accident case in the state of Texas again. It costs you NOTHING out of pocket, so if you're in a car accident that isn't your fault, call Steven immediately and make sure the insurance company doesn't take advantage of you.
