To be very honest it has taken me a long time to fine the words sufficient enough to express my sincere thanks and gratitude for what the firm has done for me.
I had an active disability claim with the V.A. with regard to lung cancer as a result of exposure to agent orange in Vietnam Nam. For some reason I was decreased from 100% disability to 0%.
I went through grueling experience of trying to dispute the error on my own and was getting nowhere. When I thought I had nowhere else to turn I saw the television ad for Coats & Todd and was really impressed with their professional presentation.
I sent them a letter with my complete medical records. I one day I heard from their office. I was very fortunate to have Mr. Coats himself, to take on my case.
Words express what a sincere, honest and caring person Mr. Christopher Coats is. He is a true gentleman.
In one month I was able to get my complete benefits back. I am so thankful and happy I chose this firm and I sincerely appreciate all that they have done for me.
God Bless them!

Usually I make bad choice when I get to choose people, but choosing Brandon on my side in my Divorce case is the best thing I ever did. He helped throughout my divorce in advising what right for me giving couple choices, explaining pros and cons. He always looked out for me. He is smart, efficient and reasonable advice got me through it. No over promise, no gamble, just honest and straight forward. he even let me speak to his immigration attorney friends. He could be your devils advocate, to assess yourself, which is good thing. Preparing documentation wise he personally gone through every aspect of it according my situation. If you are looking to simply resolve the case efficiently and smart way he is your Go to attorney. Definitely going to get your dime's worth.

Brandon oversaw my divorce/child custody case pretty late in the game. We efficiently discussed our game plan over a course of a month and were more than adequately prepared to win physical custody of my son. I have been overcome with tremendous gratitude towards him for so gracefully resolving my divorce case despite not having lots of time to preemptively prepare. I would highly recommend him for any divorce and/or child custody case, as he is considerate, flexible, diligent, and diplomatic. Furthermore, Brandon is understanding of financial constraints and worked with me on my payment arrangement. He truly does not charge enough for the results that you receive, however, he is mindful of family's budgetary restrictions. Not too often you run across a lawyer who is so patient, effective, and affordable. Win all around! :)

She's a long, tall fiery redhead that clearly knows what she's doing...but there is a softness and warmth in her eyes and voice that totally put me at ease...and that was her mission...to put me at ease the day before our appeal hearing. I was turned down for disability the first time which of course is devestating. I got a different attorney for my appeal and choose Catherine Coats bc of her soothing commercials about how I've worked all my life and it's my money....it took 2 years for the appeal hearing date to come up and I was a total nervous wreck the day before bc I am fighting for my life and well being. She called, apologized for not calling earlier in the day and for allowing me to be nervous but WE WILL WIN YOUR CASE TOMORROW!!!! She said, "I want you to sleep well and just know that I got this and I won't leave without the win and Medicare as well." What attorney does that??
I DID sleep well and we did win with backpay going back 3 1/2yrs the next day. And the judge admitting error the first time around and felt bad!! So...I am a very happy client and she was amazing in the hearing room...pointing out pragragh this and page that....the judge couldn't keep up and the state's reps never said anything but agreed with Catherine's findings. I will tell everyone I know what a wonderful attorney she is and I- for one...truly appreciate her. She promised me total follow thru till I get my money and I have no doubt she will. God put her in my life and lifted this heavy 4 year burden off of me.

I am very disappointed in my experience with Coats & Todd. I read so many wonderful reviews too.
I find myself suddenly VERY ill. My story is much like many others. With the lose of my health came the lose of a job, health insurance, all of my 401K, a car, and now I face bankruptcy, and/or the lose of my home. I need help with finding healthcare assistance, understanding what disability or SSI benefits are even available to me, and so much more. I called Coats & Todd, they had an "intake specialist" take down my information. (including 15 years of work history that I gathered for them) After, an hour on the phone I felt they would be helping me understand what to do next. I was told someone would call me within 48 hours. My entire well-being at this time to wait for this phone call.
They did not return my call. I planned to call them first thing Monday. I get my mail, there is a letter stating they can not help me because I do not have ongoing medical care. I TOLD THEM I DIDN'T EVEN KNOW HOW TO GET THE HEALTH CARE ASSISTANCE. I told the "intake specialist" that I needed their help to understand what is available to me. I was assured they would be "here to help." I was also assured a phone call in 48 hours. Instead I get a very wordy letter stating they can't help me right now.
I can not even begin to explain how hopeless I felt when I read that letter. I immediately threw up. (Note: throwing up is very very bad for my condition) I need to see a specialist that without insurance I can not afford.(obama care in the state of TX does not help the unfortunate) I knew nothing about Medicare, or Medicaid. I have worked all my life, even when I was diagnosed with other conditions. I did call to ask why they didn't just tell me over the phone when I initially called that I needed to take other steps before I can apply for benefits. I explained I felt that if I had this information explained to me initially than, I would have had that time that I had spend waiting on a phone call to do those things. It is so very important that this move as quickly as possible. As an SSI attorney's office you'd think they would know this. So, now they have also wasted my time. Time is not something I have much of right now.
It was explained to me more than once that the person I was talking to was an "intake specialist" and they didn't have that information. I could leave a message for a case worker if I wanted to. I said "please I really need to speak with a person". she was kind however, the answer was still you can leave a message. At this point, you don't want my business. You don't want to help me. I was then Done. I need to feel like my attorney's care. I felt like just a #. I felt like I wasn't important to them, or worth their time to help.
Naturally, I called a different attorney's office. Where I talked to a "legal assistant" this person gave me the information I needed to know about healthcare assistance, let me know that I have to apply for SSI before anything else can begin. They are going to overnight me a packet of information with step by step info. I got so much information from a 30 min call! I learned so much, I feel there was absolutely no reason the person who "takes information" at Coats & Todd couldn't have told me the same information. If that person has to be a "legal assistant" then hire legal assistance's that is your business for crying loud. I don't want to talk to a "message taker" when I call a lawfirm.
This is a money hungry office, I have been in the work field long enough to know this. Careful if you choose to call them. It is highly likely they will waste your time. When you're dying you take a waste of time pretty hard!

I must first admit that I was referred to Brandon Rasley on a not so easy situation I was going through. Here are the Pros and Cons during my experience...
CONS: My case was drawn out (major lack of cooperation from the other party) but it would have been nice if Brandon pushed harder (more than he did) to get the case resolved. In reality, Brandon did push hard, but I was just ready to get everything resolved and couldn't because of the other party.
PROS: From our very first contact, Brandon was very kind, open, generous, understanding, and wanted to "fight for me". Rasley Law Group was organized, supportive but not persuasive to where I was not doing something I truly didn't want to do. It was nice to know you had a group knowledgeable of the the law and court system but allows you to be in charge of how you wanted to approach matters of your case that you felt was important. I have had experiences with other attorneys before but Rasley Law Group is the best and knocks them out the water. You can't bet the price for the high-quality level of support, advise, attention, quick turn-around responses, and honesty you will receive. If Rasley Law Group ever needs me as a reference, I would honored to do so. :-)

I had the most pleasant experience with Coats and Todd. I was very nervous and had many unknown questions regarding my case. After speaking to Mr. Coats, I felt at ease. He always answered our questions with much understanding and never in a rush. Mr. Coats helped us in every step of the way through the whole process. Mr. Coats is great at what he does and very knowledgeable. Melissa was wonderful!!! She always answered my questions right away and was super helpful whenever I needed her. The law firm of Coats & Todd were the best anyone could ask for. Melissa the secretary was professional and beyond her secretarial duties to help us with all the paperwork and making sure everything was filled out properly and in a timely manner we ran across several problems but she helped us and made sure it was all correct and Melissa was always available when I called or she called back as soon as possible. Mr Edwin Arita gave us the options of what to do and the best options to use in our case. Coats & Todd helped me and my husband apply and file for bankruptcy. From the beginning they were helpful and made the process comfortable and easy whenever a problem or obstacle came up. We mainly handled everything over the phone, fax, email or mail which made it nice to not to have to make the one hour trip. Filing bankruptcy and working with Coats & Todd at this time in our life was the best thing we could have done and are glad we chose Coats & Todd to help us through this process. We highly recommend Coats & Todd for bankruptcy they make the process go smoothly and not painful and are there with you every step of the way. Again Melissa Brown was professional very supportive and helped the process go smoothly fast and was always there to help us through each step of the bankruptcy. Coats and Todd were the best anyone could ask for they make the process as stress free and worry free as they can and you can depend on them to be honest and upfront with you. Again thank you to all the associates especially Melissa Brown and Edwin A Arita. We liked Coats & Todd so much we are now using them to process and look into military disability for my husband.
Thank you very much
Bill & Carolyn

We did our research and employed Coats & Todd to represent us for my husband, Patrick's' disability case. We were initially turned down twice and had to go before a judge to hear our case. Our attorney, Jason, discovered my husband had been "miscoded" by SSD and he immediately pointed this out to the courts. We won our case thanks to this firm. I want to say that not only did we like Jason, but we especially were impressed with the professional that contacted us to not only tell us our case was approved (we had not received an approval letter so it was nice to hear this from our attorney's office) but she told us exactly the amount of the back pay and the monthly check. She stayed on the phone with us to give us all of the details and answered our questions. She continued to follow up with us to ensure we did receive our check and auto deposit. This was AFTER Coats & Todd was already paid. It is important to note this as they still continued to do their job and make sure everything was done even though they were already paid. We are grateful to this firm and to fine professionals like Tynesha that continued to call us to make sure all was well. I would highly recommend this firm to anyone.
