Chris was referred to me by my Financial Planner, and I am so grateful for the wonderful job she did revising the estate documents I already had, and turning them into documents that made more sense for me and my family. She is very intelligent , highly skilled, and really great with whom to work. She made this process understandable and actually joyful! Chris was amazingly easy to work with. She has a fabulous ability to explain the intricacies of legal options in a very approachable way and even manages to make it pleasantly conversational. I was dreading the whole process of developing an estate plan - not only did I get to an unexpectedly comprehensive result, but had a fairly easy and pleasant time getting to that result thanks to Chris's expertise, personable nature, and complete professionalism. I was lost on how to proceed when my brother died last year. I found Chris while hunting for a probate lawyer in Plano. She made it so easy to go through all the steps needed in probating my brother's will. Chris' advice was invaluable and she was very easy to work with. Ms. Downs was a ray of sunshine in what had the potential to be a frustrating process. I found myself in need of an attorney to create my last will and testament and a power of attorney after putting it off for several years. Ms. Downs simplified the process by providing an easy to fill out questionnaire while answering my numerous questions related to a special needs extended family member and a long-term relationship.
