I was wrongfully charged a year ago with a felony facing up to 20 years. I am not a criminal and have no prior records. I went through the standard protocol with a previous lawyer. When my case was not dismissed, I hired John to take over. I loved that they involved me in what was going on, they want you to be apart of your case and any evidence that comes in is available to their clients. After all, it was my life on the line. My previous lawyer did not do that, it was very impersonal, and I was kept in the dark about a lot. Things at Rosen and Kovach were totally different. Everyone who works there is extremely kind and helpful. I had no issues getting ahold of them when needed. They always stayed on top of my case and kept me informed. They constantly reassured me that I was in good hands. John’s wife Courtney came to work with them this year and she met with me yesterday. She has been a prosecutor for 8 years. She knows the system well, she knows people who can get things done. In my situation, nobody was looking at the details of my case to see that I was innocent and what happened was an accident. My previous lawyer was not active in trying to make contact with anyone to have my case dismissed. He just went through the motions. At Rosen and Kovach, they are aggressive (in a good way) and get to work right away. Courtney literally sat down with me and went through the details of my case. She agreed that this had been taken way too far and it should never have even been a charge. It was simply an accident. She went above heads that were not willing to open up the details and see the truth. She made a call to someone and had them look into my charge. It had not even been 3 hours since we left their office and she called to tell me that my case had been dismissed. I was absolutely elated! The fact that I got a dismissal and not a pre trial diversion was even better. Fighting the state for a wrongful charge has been the nightmare of a lifetime. This dragged out for a year but John and Courtney both took care of it and made sure it got the attention it needed. Courtney is AMAZING and she literally saved my life! I can now get back to living my life and focus on my family without having this over my head. I would give John and Courtney 100 stars if I could. They are amazing!

I own a restaurant in Downtown Houston and had multiple issues with the exhaust fan from day one. The contractor ignored manufacturer instructions & installed the fan in the wrong place. He deflected our requests to repair the issue during our 1st year and said it was out of warranty after that. After 3 years & multiple fan failures, we approached John Kovach for help. John warmed us it would be along process but we could likely get some sort of settlement from the GC’s & sub’s insurance companies. He was right on both counts - it took a year but John finally secured a reasonable settlement. We appreciated the candor and persistence with which he handled our case.
