When we met at her office, she took the time to explain to me that I really did not need representation afterall. She was honest and cared about the situation I was facing and made alternative suggestions / solutions to what I did need to do. Abusive narcissistic husband!!! I was extremely nervous the first time I met with Tina. I was in a twenty two year marriage with a verbally abusive and controlling man. I was a little embarrassed to tell her my story. She was so supportive and non judgmental. She walked me thru the process and warned me things would get worse before they got better. She was so right!! He ended up being physically abusive once he knew I had filled for divorce. She was there for me the entire way!! He went to jail and she had him served in jail!!! "Tina was rather busy at the time I contacted her for a consultation. She politely referred me to another lawyer, but I literally begged her to meet with me. I explained that I'd already decided that she was the only person I wanted to represent me in my divorce, which was 5 years overdue at the time. I had poured over all of her reviews, and my gut told me that she just wasn't the stereotypical lawyer we always hear about. Something was different about Tina. When I met with her and discussed the details of my case, she was very quick to inform me of my rights regarding inheritance and separate property, half of which my ex-husband thought he was entitled. Retainer paid on the spot, and so the process began. It took over a year from start to finish due not only to normal processing time, but that the house had to be sold after needing major repairs, and the other party wasn't exactly willing to cooperate, making things difficult at every turn.
