The price for services is there but Skinner and her firm are definitely strong & collected. It was about two months from hiring this law firm to obtaining a resolution, I was satisfied with the quality of work provided.

Very disappointed

Worst communications ever. I have left numerous phone messages and sent numerous emails. All that is falling on deaf ears. My Mother hired her in 2020 for a divorce. She was overcharged and last April 2023 I (her daughter) was told of the overcharge. Mother passed away in 2020 shortly after the divorce was granted. Trying to get the refund from Skinner has been an absolute Nightmare!! I would never recommend her for any case.

She did an awesome job with my case with my kids. She’s an awesome lawyer who gets things done.

We are still working my case but so far she has been a shark. A huge help and asset to my case. She’s not about making friends but rather representing me and my husband at all costs.

I was given Skinner as a court appointed lawyer for my CPS case for my daughter and I had to reach out to her actually the first time to make contact. I kept leaving her office messages but she wouldn't call me back and finally she picked up the phone when I called and I got to talk to her but that took a little over a month. I would voice my concerns about my daughter and she would agree and let me know she would take care of them and nothing would ever get done . Also, I had left a box of evidence that was crucial to the case at her office that she was suppose to get copies made and get to the judge and the other side for evidence and everything but instead it sat in her office for 2 months without me even knowing this until it was brought up in court and that was the last draw, I had enough so I ask the judge for another lawyer and it was granted . She just didn't do her job and it seemed like she didn't care because at one point she didn't even show up to court and there was no notice or anything. It was just unprofessional behavior all the time. I don't recommend her at all. Of course she will only try and justify her behavior and blame it on others.

Update: The attorney got back immediately this morning and apologized. My mom was given her number directly to endure this issue doesn't happen again. Updated score to reflect her reaching out to correct the issue.. Original Post: My mom has been going through a tough seperatation after 38 years of marriage. Both her and I have never gone through this process before, so having an attorney that could be available to answer those questions is crucial. Emily Martinez has been completely unavailable throughout the whole process. My mom has been trying to get a face to face meeting after paying the retainer for 2 weeks, and Emily has been unavailable via the online messaging system or voice-mail. She said she would be available to meet with my mother today, but when my mom messages back to schedule a time she never responded. I would avoid this firm if you need someone to answer your legal questions.
