I retained the office of Rush and Gransee in April of 2009 after I was attacked by a neighbor’s dog which left me severely injured and in excruciating pain. Robert Rush was able to obtain an excellent settlement for me to compensate for my injuries, disfigurement, hospital bills, and lost time from work without the delay and stress of a trial. I always appreciated Robert Rush’s candidness and he was always prompt to return my phone calls, emails, and always kept me informed through the legal proceeding. Since my settlement, I have sent numerous friends to the law office of Rush and Gransee for motorcycle accidents, dog attacks and medical malpractice claims. I feel that I couldn’t have located a better personal liability lawyer in Texas.

I don't want to go too in depth about my case for various reasons. I just recently discovered this site and found Mr. Shumway on here. I feel confident in recommending Mr. Shumway to anyone. I don't know him very well because we were able to get my issue handled without me needing to meet. That's not to say that after we got my issue handled I didn't want to treat him to lunch to show I was grateful. We maintained consistent communication via phone and email. He always kept me informed and told me the strengths and weaknesses of both party's case. It was interesting to hear him tell me what the opposition was doing correctly. It was almost as if since he knew what they would do he would have a move of his own to counter. I greatly respect this man's ability to do what needs to be done. When you get in a stressful situation, sometimes certain factors to make you want to do things you wouldn't normally do. I am ashamed to say this was true for me. The stress and anger made me want to do things that I wouldn't normally do. Mr. Shumway flat out told me one time, "no, we're not going to do that. That's dishonest." I was stunned to start with and afterwards embarrassed. I'm grateful that his integrity helped me keep mine.

Doug and his firm have always been valuable for my company in determining our needs and helping with the wide range of services we need. It is nice to have someone you can ask a question to or handle a more complicated legal matter. I highly recommend Doug to anyone needing help.

Douglas is the most capable attorney I know. He is so quick at seeing things. He consistently impresses me with his ability to help me and the people I refer to him. He has helped me with multiple real estate transactions. I had a class action and fraud case that he oversaw. When I was wanting to set up holding companies for the real property that I own, he was more than happy to help. We got all of the companies set up which has been very effective at protecting my personal finances. Doug negotiated for my friend when he was defrauded. They were eventually able to get a judgment that was well worth both of their time. If there is ever a situation where I need legal assistance, I would want to use him. He gives Utah attorneys a good name in my book. If you find yourself in a situation that requires legal help, I would recommend that you get Doug in your corner before your opponent does. That will be the best bet

My wife and I were in a car accident on December 2012 in Kenedy, Texas. The driver of the vehicle that hit us turned in front of us and hit our vehicle so hard that our airbags deployed. The driver was a minor with no driver's license and no insurance. We were both transported by EMS to the hospital. The insurance company made an offer to settle our claim. We contacted Rush & Gransee because the offer was too small. Mr. Rush handled our case from start to finish. We obtained a settlement for over five (5) times our original offer.
