Mr. Collins is a very experienced and exceptional fighter for his clients. Good kids sometimes make bad judgements at school, but with zero tolerance from school districts and statutory mandates to report so much to authorities, a teenager can easily end up facing potential legal consequences that can ruin their lives before it even starts over silly mistakes. We hired Mr. Collins and with his strong knowledge of juvenile cases on our side, we were not disappointed, he represented us, and the case was rejected, thank you Mr. Collins.

My son was charged with a felony for having a pellet gun at school in his backpack. Mr. Collins was able to have the felony dismissed pre-trial, preventing my son from having a felony conviction for the rest of his life for what was essentially a stupid-teenager decision. Aside from the no-drama, efficient dismissal, I appreciated Mr. Collins’ firm but compassionate wake-up call to my son when he laid out the ramifications of what he had done and the consequences he could face. As a citizen, I appreciated Mr. Collins’ care in assessing that this was a stupid rather than malicious act. As his customer, I appreciated that when I first contacted him, he hiked up to the top of a hill to get good cell reception from a family vacation in order to communicate directly with me during my time of need. In all things, Kevin Collins strikes me as an ethical, intelligent, hardworking, well-connected and knowledgeable advocate, and I am very grateful for his work on behalf of our family.

I had an MTR on my probation in May 2019 and was instructed from my probation officer that I needed to either turn myself in or hire an attorney to speak with the judge. Being in County Court 6 is the most stressful courtroom in Bexar County with one of the toughest judges, and i'm sure the judge takes pride on it, but this was my first offense EVER in my entire life and I was immensely stressed. I found Jon and from our first conversation I could tell he was one of the good guys. A lawyer who became a lawyer to actually help people, not profit from them. When it was time for my walk-in court date, having Jon with me helped me stay calm. He has so much positive energy and really understood how I felt and continued to reassure me until it was our time to speak with the judge. The judge was going to give me 30 days in Bexar County jail but Jon was able to explain my situation to the judge and I expressed I would continue to stay on track with my probation. Jon got my MTR DENIED, I received NO JAIL TIME, and I was so relieved!! My mistake in all of this was not hiring Jon from the beginning. Thank you Jon, again and again. I am truly grateful for your help!

My Fiancé and I were referred to Jonathan Watkins and a few other attorneys back in May of 2018. After consulting with a few when we found Jonathan we instantly knew he was the right man for the job!! His energy, polite mannerism, and eagerness to assist immediately made us feel comfortable and welcome. Jonathan did not just treat us as clients but as family!!! He treated my fiancé’s case as if he was his brother and fought tooth and nail to ensure that he was treated fairly. Never once did he go MIA like some attorneys and even with a busy schedule he made sure to stay in contact and communicate with us every step of the way.
