I was arrested last year and charged with DWI while sleeping in my car. Mr. Rountree went above and beyond to show there was no probable cause to detain me and no suspicion of being intoxicated. Mr. Rountree was able to get my case dismissed. He was very helpful and answered all of my questions through this grueling process, and my family and I thank him. First and formost thank you Tim for helping me get my life back to normal & sorry for the late review. This time last year I got pulled over and received my 3rd DWI(felony) and a UCW. I immediately hired an attorney from the Houston area where I'm from because he does great here, he charged me an arm & a leg which I paid upfront. As the months started to roll by he had me showing up to court by myself multiple times, kept resetting and i'd have to call and remind him about my court dates. It was very stressful for me knowing he's in control of fighting for my freedom so I started searching for lawyers in Bexar county. I came across Tim's website and I saw that he was once a prosecutor but was currently defending clients with only dwi related offenses. I looked no further and contacted Tim, let him know the details about my case and current attorney. He told me what the outcome could possibly be and gave me a price. The price was unbeatable so I instantly hired him and fired my other attorney. Every time I called him he either answered or sent me a text message, his client portal always reminded me about court dates so it was really great communication. Within two to 3 months we were ready to get the case handled. The initial offer was 4 years probation, a felony on my record and 3 days of jail. When he came and told me, my heart dropped because I couldn't afford a felony on my record and 4 years seemed a bit too long. I told him about my career & future plans, he said no worries I'll be right back. When he came back he told me "it's kinda cold in here I think Christmas came early" lol I was like what??? He said your Christmas came early and stated, He got the felony dropped to a misdemeanor and two years of probation instead of 4 years. No jail time, he gave me advice on how to get my money back from the previous attorney & it worked also 😁 Tim's a wonderful attorney and I will always recommend him to someone in need of legal advice!! Tim is amazing! From the start of my incident to the end, he was always available. He responded within hours on a Sunday morning of the day of the incident. I received a DWI third (felony) in one of if not the hardest counties in Texas when it comes to DWI offenses (Gillespie). I called and spoke with Tim and unlike every lawyer I have ever had he didn’t make me any promises. He told me exactly what needed to happen asap in order to keep my driver license regardless if I hired him or not. I talked with another recommended law firm who quoted 10k to start and assured me anyone who would take the case cheaper wouldn’t put in the work needed to gain a favorable outcome. Well that turned out to be a lie. Tim kept me in the loop on everything going on through not only phone calls and text but would send emails on everything he was doing as well as the state. Countless times he answered the phone in court to let me know he was in court and would call me back and he always called back the same day. When you call him he is the one who answers not someone just looking to take a message. Not only this but he would answer the phone late at night when he was with his family to calm my anxiety. He would ask about my kids and things I had going on in my personal life that had nothing to do with my case and offer up advice. Not only did he beat this felony charge and get me a short probation sentence but he had things waved in the agreement that even my probation officer has never heard of the DA or judge agreeing to. His payment plan is so simple anyone can do it. When I had Covid and couldn’t work for a month and got behind on payments I never had him one time mention the money I owed. Weeks after everything was done he reached out to me to make sure everything was going smoothly and to reassure me if I needed him for anything else just give him a call and he would help. We spent most of that conversation just talking about life. This man is honest and after a short period of time it’s like you’re talking with a friend because he cares about what his clients have going on and not just the case he is hired for. I have recommended several people to him and know he got a friend of mine a great deal on his dwi. He’s the type of guy you will become friends with. I couldn’t recommend him enough. He’s the best DWI lawyer I have ever had or seen. I appreciate this gentleman more than I could ever show.
