Although I am a retired physician and not an attorney, I was very favorably impressed by Matthew Obermeier who was very kind to meet me on two separate occasions to review my case and even give me a second opinion on the work done by another attorney. Upon my preparing to write a check for his time, he elegantly declined any payment. My previous attorney charged me for 9 hours of research on a single matter of eviction. He spent 20 minutes telling me exactly what the previous attorney took 9 hours of research. I would describe him as an iron fist in a velvet glove, which is exactly what is needed in debating in front of a jury or judge. His elegant demeanor and character fits very well with the tenor, aura and atmosphere of the firm.

Having Matt as an attorney was truly a blessing. I have never met anyone in my life as empathetic as Matt. He understands the trying times of divorce/child custody and guides you the entire way helping you stay on path. His attention to detail is phenomenal and so is his dedication to getting things right. Matt made himself available to talk, text, or email at all hours, especially ones of emergency. He guided me through the legal process and helped me assess my situation in order to focus on the most important topics. Lastly, his familiarity with the military pay system, military law, and military in general was a huge relief. I didn’t have to explain any pay/retirement related rules or acronyms to him at all. I met with Matt after having a terrible experience with attorney Robert Grier(who did nothing but take my money!) After a quick consultation with Matthew I immediately hired him, because he was open and honest with me on what to expect with my case and didn’t try to sugar coat anything. I have to say it was the best outcome from a divorce that anyone could ask for. This is a one of a kind attorney. When you call you get HIM...not a receptionist or secretary. He answers immediately. If he is busy, he will tell you what is going on and calls back by the end of the day. Unlike many attorneys I have dealt with, he responds and acts immediately. I first hired Matt Obermeier a few years ago concerning an issue where my landlord was suing me for treble damages for a broken lease agreement. I did not feel there was much hope of winning the case. Matt represented me in small claims court and requested a jury trial. We won! I was impressed with his thorough and competent professionalism. He was prepared, kind and patient, even toward the plaintiff. Last year, I again retained Matt’s services. This time I was suing someone for a loan repayment. Again, Matt impressed me with his thoroughness and kindness. He was articulate and displayed great ability to think clearly and creatively on his feet. Due to his expertise and competence, the defendant is now repaying the loan. Two weeks ago I contacted Matt on an immigration issue for a friend. He had a sincere desire to help and was conscientious in telling me he is not skilled in that area of law. He referred me to attorney, Ramón Curiel, who was prompt in returning my call and setting up my friend with an attorney who immediately helped him.
