A few days after being rear ended by a guy who was texting and driving on the highway outside Waxahachie, I found Ryan Thompson’s injury law firm and gave them a call. At first, my back and neck were sore and I had a headache, but I didn’t think I was really hurt all that bad. As a former athlete, usually I’d just tough it out, but the headaches and soreness got worse and I felt like my head was in a cloud all the time. Mr. Thompson’s office helped me find a primary care doctor to get checked out near my home in Garland the same day I called. That doctor referred me to a neurology specialist, and he diagnosed me with whiplash and a grade 2 concussion brain injury. I’ve seen people get concussions watching football (Go Cowboys!) and thought you had to get knocked out to get one, but apparently not. Anyway, I’m glad I didn’t try to be a tough guy and decided to get checked out by an MD soon after the car accident, and have an accident lawyer deal with the insurance company for me.
