My wife and I have had the privilege of retaining Sonja D Sims as our bankruptcy attorney. We have found her to be conscientious and professional, always keeping us informed of the progress of our case. When anyone has to experience bankruptcy it is very embarrassing and disheartening. However, during the process, Sonja D. Sims kept our spirits up by encouraging us not to so "down." In addition, Ms Sims made recommendations as to how to proceed when we could no longer pay our bills. With her as our attorney, she guided us through Chapter 13. We attempted to keep up with the arrangements of payments after two years, we could no longer keep up. She then suggested that we file Chapter 7. During that process Ms Sims guided us through with professionalism, encouragement and a positive attitude every time with met with her. The one outstanding thing that my wife and I noticed was her compassion. We would retain Ms. Sims in an instant if it came to picking an attorney.

Incompetent advice. Hired Ms Sims for a child support/visitation case. She did nothing over the course of 4 months and neglected to have my case retried as was my right within a 30 day window. She did not know about this and therefore i was extremely incompetent. Ms Sims withdrew herself from my case after I'd paid her a great deal of money. Stay away.
