Jim Voeller was very helpful in explaining different options whereby we could leave a legacy for our children and grandchildren. The final documents were well prepared and his instructions on how to proceed were explicit and very good. I had a phone consultation with James and he wanted to go right into planning a Trust for me and my wife. I said I probably just wanted wills. He said if one of us died the other would have to go into probate and spend a lot of money. I said I didn't think that was true. He probably knows you can file a Transfer on Death Deed (TODD) with the court and avoid probate. But he just abruptly told me I could just get another lawyer and hung up on me. That was extremely rude and I definitely would not consider using his firm. I saw the response to this review and was not impressed. It doesn't sound like you are willing to work with anyone who wants a will vs a trust. The will can minimize court involvement with an executor who is appointed as an independent executor. You didn't counsel me. You just wanted to railroad me into a trust. You didn't offer any pros and cons except a trust avoiding probate. A trust is more complex, time consuming and expensive and more profitable for an attorney which I suspect is why you mainly only do trusts. I didn't see any reviews where you did a will. Again, you were very rude to hang up on me, but is there any apology for that? No, afraid not.
