Mike has been upfront and honest in all of our dealings with him. He will always explain the laws and follows them to the point. He and his staff have represented our business in and out of court. I have known Mike Thurman for double digit years, and worked with him closely for a solid 4 . He is the attorney for many HOAs and POAs in San Antonio. He and I worked together while I was on the Board for Stone Oak POA, a large Association, almost the size of a town at a population of approximately 17K. We worked on architectural issues, signage, streets, drainage, land usage, all kinds of development issues and of course, prima donnas who always wanted " their " way. Mike was always patience and knowledgeable, well connected in the city and with current POA law. He kept abreast of any legislation that might affect us and kept me out of trouble on one than more occasion. He is highly professional and extremely well written. I would not recommend Mr. Thurman to anyone looking for a real estate lawyer. After working with him for 6 months, I spent 4 times more than we were told, and left with nothing to show. His firm continuously gave us the run around when asking questions on where the money was spent. We finally had to pull the plug on working with Michael Thurman and his firm and were left with nothing to show. When we demanded some money back based on false invoicing, we were told we would have to take him to court if we ever wanted any money back from him. He then informed us it would cost us more in attorney fees to try and recoup that money and we should just walk away. He actually laughed when he told us this! From my experience, I would look elsewhere for a real estate attorney firm.
