The courts assigned him the first setting, but prior to the second court appearance i had contacted him and we spoke about my case, he assured me even though I have a long record that he can get the case dismissed. So the following court date i was there and he showed up later and as he said what he was gonna do he done so. I highly recommend him, as an attorney and if I ever need another attorney I will surely contact him.

I paid to doug to Represent my husband in court once court started he turned the tables and tried to turn my husband into a Into a drug head without letting him know that would be a easier way out he doesn't even do drugs so instead of reducing his bond they Rasied has bond 200,000 more And dougs is nowhere to be found he always say he's coming to see him and never comes he's been there since March for something he didn't do

Douglas is a very good lawyer. He can't pull a rabbit from the hat, yet if you tell him what he needs to know, he will fight tooth and nail for you. He called me on every action that he made and did EXACTLY what he said he would do. He's not a magician but he is honest, trust worthy, and resourceful. Case dismissed.

Three women were talking about my daughters case in the waiting are. I followed them all the way to the Elevator. I told them that was my daughter. I told Doug Schopmyer about this. He never told the Judge. My daughter was sentenced to 20 YEARS. 20 FREAKING YEARS. Not only that, she was offered a 10 year deal. She was never told. The judge refused to overturn her case.

Mr. Schopmeyer is an smart and capable lawyer. I have referred him to many other people who have been very pleased.

This lawyer has my brother held in jail for almost a year not going to state the situation but he didn't harm anybody in any type of way.... This man will not pick up nor take my brother to court when he goes he has rescheduled court dates 3 times my brother has been called for court im so tired of this get over system but I promise God has the last so in all of this Doug you'll have your judgement day know that.... Do not I repeat do not choose him as a lawyer.

He had been my husband's lawyer for the three months he's been in jail.. He has not pushed his case or even touched it i call and call no answer and mailbox is full he never returns call and when he finally does answer after tricking him and calling from a different number he says call after four then never answers... That's his favorite line or that he's in trial.. After finally reminding him about my husband's case when i finally got a hold of him he set him a court date cause he said it hasn't even been touched he was a no show had my husband in a holdover all day cause he decided not to show!!! He has finally decided to fire him after giving him chances.. Court appointed or not it's still your job.... I would not recommend this man to anyone and if he is get a new one... That is all carry on (:

I've worked with Doug on many cases. I've been practicing criminal law for 22 years and can state without a doubt that Doug Schopmeyer is an excellent, learned attorney. He's one of the smartest attorneys I know. The fact that this scam site allows a convicted child molester to disparage such fine attorney is pathetic.

All this man does is blow smoke up your rear. He tells you what you want to hear. But when you tell him your concerns/situations, when it comes time, all of the sudden, he states that has never been told to him. HE WORKS FOR THE CITY, NOT HIS CLIENTS. People who work hard but cant get money together for a paid lawyer, relies on a court appointed lawyer for help. He doesn't care about the case or the people involved. Not once did he go to the Jail to speak to the client. Please if you get him as a court appointed lawyer, ask for someone else. He will not handle the case like it should be. If you do get him as a lawyer please do not listen to him. Go with your gut feeling and and do what you think is right. and do not waive your right to a jury or listen and not take a plea bargin. If anything probation will not happen. and you will end up getting the maximum time
