Cannon Law came highly recommended when I needed an Amicus Attorney. I met with Lennea, and she immediately put my stress and anxiety at ease. Divorce is never easy and did not want to battle with my ex. However, I set high standards for the attorney that I would be working with. Lennea was organized, kind, compassionate, and a true pleasure to work with. Even though I was going through a heart wrenching time in my life, Lennea gave me a peace of mind and was always there to go above and beyond. I could go on and on about how grateful I am to Lennea and her firm for my legal needs... I would HIGHLY recommend Lennea and Cannon Law if you are in need of a Family Law Attorney.

It is of the utmost importance to choose an amicus attorney who will prioritize the well-being of your child in any legal proceedings. Unfortunately, my experience with Lennea Cannon was one of disappointment and disregard for the safety of my child. Despite having compiled a list of experienced and qualified amicus attorneys, the opposing party insisted on the "cheapest option" available, which resulted in the selection of Ms. Cannon. This decision, which prioritized cost over the quality of representation, disregarded the well-being of my child and left us without a competent amicus attorney. As the petitioner in the case, I felt that the process was biased towards the other party and did not provide a thorough, independent assessment of the situation. My concerns were not adequately addressed and communication with the amicus was not as responsive as I had hoped. Furthermore, I found Ms. Cannon's behavior during our communication to be unprofessional and dismissive of my concerns about my child's well-being and safety. At one point, she mocked and laughed over me. It was also disappointing to witness the lack of engagement and attention during the home visit with my family (it lasted 11 minutes and 8 seconds). Most concerning of all is that Ms. Cannon may have been unable to recognize potentially harmful behavior in the other parent (i.e. narcissism, borderline personality disorder, homophobia, transphobia, and racism). This raised concerns to me about her ability to effectively advocate for the child's safety and seemed to be a significant weakness in her ability as an amicus who may place children back into hostile and toxic environments. Lastly, I was disappointed to learn that Ms. Cannon retained excess funds without refunding them, and when questioned about it, she denied receiving the payment despite evidence to the contrary. In retrospect, "you get what you pay for”. Seeing my child's well-being ignored and trivialized in court by an amicus attorney who was supposed to represent her concerns was a heart-wrenching experience. [UPDATE] -- After numerous emails and requests for follow-ups, Lennea has finally returned a portion of the excess funds that were owed to me. Unfortunately, my bank account was overdrawn for a total of 75 days, which caused significant inconvenience and stress. In addition, I received a threatening email from Lennea, demanding that I remove this review. I made it clear to her that I would consider modifying the review once the excess funds were returned to me. I have since received the check, and it has cleared my bank. While I am grateful that one matter has been resolved, I feel it is important to communicate the challenges that were encountered during the process. While I hope that Lennea Cannon will take steps to improve her communication and avoid similar issues in the future, I still would not recommend this attorney. I hope you can agree that accountability is essential for any profession, and the legal field is no exception. When there are no consequences for such unprofessional behavior, it creates a culture where innocent parents are left vulnerable. It is my hope that my experience with Lennea Cannon will serve as a reminder of the importance of communication and professionalism in the legal profession.

I hired Mrs. Blackwell at Cannon Law for my initial custody case in 2017 and did not hesitate to request her services again when I needed someone that would help me fight for my children’s well being and safety , and to modify my current orders. Not only is she extremely proficient and knowledgeable in her field, she is beyond thorough when it comes to combing through the details and leaving no stone unturned. Lennea Cannon is the best family law lawyer. If you’re looking for someone to listen to your concerns and be direct and HONEST with you, then you want Lennea as your lawyer. Lennea’s personalized attention her and her staff provided me exceeded my expectations. I have worked with other lawyers, who did a lot of talking, but never delivered. Lennea stands by her word and does not make commitments she isn’t able to keep. Again, if you are looking for a lawyer who listens to you, provides excellent customer service and delivers, then hire Lennea Cannon as your lawyer.

After a long 4 year divorce battle, I hired Mrs. L Cannon and she got my case finalized. She gets the job done and done right. Not only is she extremely professional, she is very knowledgeable and truly cares about her clients best interest. My previous attorney and the opposing attorney were complete “paper pushers” and would do anything and everything to charge more money. Mrs. L Cannon is no nonsense, as mentioned above she goes in and gets the job done and done right. I could not have been more pleased. I wish I had found her sooner. I was lucky to find and work with Loreen, who really cared about my best interests and yet was also very understanding of the complexity and delicacy of my co-parenting relationship, which helped finalize my Final Decree Agreement in the terms that both reserved financial security and set the right tone for the co-parenting journey. She could relate from the parenting perspectives which was a bonus. Her communication was swift, timely, precise, and professional. She knew when to put her foot down and when to be lenient. Being able to finalize my divorce swiftly meant I could shift my focus, energy, and mental capacity to more important matters such as preparing my child and tending to his needs through such turbulent times of change and rerouting my life.
