It was in the most painful, stressful period in my life when a trusted client referred Lennea with the firm of Cannon Law. She nicknamed her a “silent assassin” so I went for it. If it had not been for Lennea Cannon and her team, I wouldn’t of ended up on top of a very bad situation. From the first consultation, I was listened too, advised, informed, comforted and guided. Can’t say enough “thank you’s” to paralegals Sarah and Lisa for their precise listening skills and attention to detail, certainly experts in their field. Lennea and her firm gave me the security to trust the process. Tough situations take time and Lennea did not rush or cut corners. Did she live up to her nickname? Absolutely! It’s her quiet smartness with a fierce assertive presence served up with a polite smile. Thank you Lennea and your team at Cannon Law for handling my bad situation. A chapter I am happy to file away. You’ll always have a friend in me.

I do not recommend working with Lennea Cannon

Lennea was the Amicus Attorney for my daughter on my Divorce case. Lennea was fully invested on my case and ensured that she did everything she could in the best interest of my child. My case was extremely complicated; there was a custody evaluation + two mediations, and a trial, which resulted in an extremely long divorce process of 3 1/2 years. Lennea was committed and dedicated throughout all of the hurdles and challenges. In the end, the judge granted me primary custody over my little girl and I am forever grateful to Lennea and my attorney for handling my case with such care, courage and commitment.

If you are looking for an attorney that goes above and beyond, you have found her. Lennea Cannon and her team, especially Sarah and Akecha, supported me through one of the most difficult situations I think anyone could face. From the day I stepped into their office for my consultation, I felt like a part of their family. The dedication, advocacy, and compassion I continue to receive cannot be matched and it is truly amazing to watch Lennea in action. Like others have said on these reviews, I wish I could give Lennea and her team more than 5 stars! They deserve it!

I was surprised by a completely unexpected family situation and needed prompt advise. I did not have any idea of where to begin and was extremely lucky to find this firm! Immediately after sending a request for consultation, I was contacted by Ms. Cannon who is super sweet and attentive, even though it was a weekend she was able to get me an immediate consultation over the phone and gave me very precise information of how we would proceed, she made sure to be available for calls around my super busy schedule which just by that made things so much easier. Next Lori Blackwell took over my case and I cannot describe how thankful I am for her services. She is very professional, super responsive, objective and knowledgeable (just to mention a few of her professional qualities). She made a sad and ugly situation so much more manageable. Not only that, but she was very proactive and had everything resolved within a few months despite the nonresponsive opposing firm. I am very thankful for the assistance received by Cannon Law. They made a positive impact in my case with a fair outcome.

I couldn't recommend Cannon Law enough. Lennea is incredible and she makes you feel like you have all of the support you need while you navigate the legal system. She keeps you informed, she listens to you, and she does everything possible to fight for her client. During my time with Lennea, I never once felt like I was dealing with things by myself. She made me feel confident and of course, I couldn't be happier with my results. I was a nervous wreck headed into the offices of Cannon Law . My first meeting with Lennea set my fears aside. She was professional, outlined everything in detail, answered all my stupid and not so stupid questions, allowed my tears to flow and showed me the comfort I needed. I knew myself and 6 kids were in very knowledgeable and great hands. As the process moved forward she even discussed with me the next steps and gave me an update on communications she had with soon to be EX, who was now in Colorado. Cannon Law came highly recommended when I needed an Amicus Attorney. I met with Lennea, and she immediately put my stress and anxiety at ease. Divorce is never easy and did not want to battle with my ex. However, I set high standards for the attorney that I would be working with. Lennea was organized, kind, compassionate, and a true pleasure to work with. Even though I was going through a heart wrenching time in my life, Lennea gave me a peace of mind and was always there to go above and beyond. It is of the utmost importance to choose an amicus attorney who will prioritize the well-being of your child in any legal proceedings. Unfortunately, my experience with Lennea Cannon was one of disappointment and disregard for the safety of my child. Despite having compiled a list of experienced and qualified amicus attorneys, the opposing party insisted on the "cheapest option" available, which resulted in the selection of Ms. Cannon. This decision, which prioritized cost over the quality of representation, disregarded the well-being of my child and left us without a competent amicus attorney. As the petitioner in the case, I felt that the process was biased towards the other party and did not provide a thorough, independent assessment of the situation. My concerns were not adequately addressed and communication with the amicus was not as responsive as I had hoped. Furthermore, I found Ms. Cannon's behavior during our communication to be unprofessional and dismissive of my concerns about my child's well-being and safety. At one point, she mocked and laughed over me. It was also disappointing to witness the lack of engagement and attention during the home visit with my family (it lasted 11 minutes and 8 seconds). Most concerning of all is that Ms. Cannon may have been unable to recognize potentially harmful behavior in the other parent (i.e. narcissism, borderline personality disorder, homophobia, transphobia, and racism). This raised concerns to me about her ability to effectively advocate for the child's safety and seemed to be a significant weakness in her ability as an amicus who may place children back into hostile and toxic environments. Lastly, I was disappointed to learn that Ms. Cannon retained excess funds without refunding them, and when questioned about it, she denied receiving the payment despite evidence to the contrary. In retrospect, "you get what you pay for”. Seeing my child's well-being ignored and trivialized in court by an amicus attorney who was supposed to represent her concerns was a heart-wrenching experience. [UPDATE] -- After numerous emails and requests for follow-ups, Lennea has finally returned a portion of the excess funds that were owed to me. Unfortunately, my bank account was overdrawn for a total of 75 days, which caused significant inconvenience and stress. In addition, I received a threatening email from Lennea, demanding that I remove this review. I made it clear to her that I would consider modifying the review once the excess funds were returned to me. I have since received the check, and it has cleared my bank. While I am grateful that one matter has been resolved, I feel it is important to communicate the challenges that were encountered during the process. While I hope that Lennea Cannon will take steps to improve her communication and avoid similar issues in the future, I still would not recommend this attorney. I hope you can agree that accountability is essential for any profession, and the legal field is no exception. When there are no consequences for such unprofessional behavior, it creates a culture where innocent parents are left vulnerable. It is my hope that my experience with Lennea Cannon will serve as a reminder of the importance of communication and professionalism in the legal profession.

I hired Mrs. Blackwell at Cannon Law for my initial custody case in 2017 and did not hesitate to request her services again when I needed someone that would help me fight for my children’s well being and safety , and to modify my current orders. Not only is she extremely proficient and knowledgeable in her field, she is beyond thorough when it comes to combing through the details and leaving no stone unturned. Through the most stressful and unnerving time in my life, Mrs. Blackwell and the staff at Cannon Law stepped up to the plate and reassured me that I was in good hands throughout the entire process.
