Her resume says she was an attorney for 25yrs. Consequently she's a judge of, by and for attorneys. Not children or their parents. She allowed opposing attorney to break the rules of civil procedure and strategically delay the case. It took a year and a half to even get up to her bench because of reset after reset after reset. Then she says she doesn't know the details of the case. In what other sector can someone have a project for a year and a half and not even be familiar with it. Opposing attorney used whiteout to falsify a doctor's note. I pointed this out and nothing was done. Allowed final order that essentially made it impossible to see my child. I'm discouraged to try to file again as it seems utterly futile. A once GREAT parent-child relationship severed.

OMG, the stories about this judge. Mothers that are drug addicts, mothers that live with drug addicts, mothers who have no place to live or jobs.... It doesn't matter to this judge.. She automatically assumes the mother will do a better job at parenting, even when the Dad had a stable life and home, no criminal background, had adequate finances, etc .. It's really sad

Anne helped me with a modification. She spoke to me and my children in a manner you would expect from a good friend. I know she's busy but she always promptly returned my calls. She was never late for court and always came prepared. Anne was ready to bend over backwards to assist me in my case and never kept anything from me, even when it wasn't good news. Her rates are not over-priced and her staff is always friendly and helpful. I would have no problem recommending Anne to any of my friends or family.

I worked with Anne Darring for approximately 3 months on a child custody case that we ended up winning at trial. During preparation for mediation and for trial, I found Anne Darring to be a very good listener and showed a lot of compassion towards the case. She really understood the situation and it was obvious that she had studied the case thoroughly. Anne B. Darring worked on my child support case. As a mother of an adult child with disabilities , Anne recognized and helped me get the support that my child needed. Anne was always perpared to fight for the needs of my child.

Anne was very organized, was willing to take the time to answer questions about concerns I had and listened to my son and what he had to say (which was very important to me!) She wasnt afraid to tell me something I didnt want to hear because she knew I needed to hear it. Her staff was always helpful and followed up on every single phone call! Even when I had a question about my itemized bill, they looked into it and explained in detail so that I could understand each and every charge. Not only will she be first on my list if I should ever need an attorney again, but she's the only person I will ever recommend if asked!

Anne was my 2nd attorney who represented me for my divorce. She has highly recommended by another attorney friend of my family. She was always on top of things and kept me informed concerning my case. She did have her assistants handle the paperwork for the most part, but Anne was on top of things. Her and everyone in her office including the receptionist were very professional and treated me as though they truly cared about me and what was in my best interest. If necessary, I would use her services again. I would recommend her firm to everyone.

I would hire Anne Darring again in a heartbeat. I was overwhelmed with the custody situation I was facing. I had interviewed, consulted with, and considered atleast 7 other attorneys prior to meeting with Anne. Though many had the creditials, the office, the staff, the look, the pricetag, or the words, I walked from each conversation feeling uncertain, nervous, and untrusting of the attorneys. Never once did I feel other attorneys were hearing me and mostly just felt they were condescending and minimizing my very real, personal concerns. After consulting with Anne, I hired her on the spot. I walked away believing my case was as important to her as it was to me. I believed as left her office she and her staff would undoubtedly fight for what was just and fair. Never was once did I doubt her sincerety. The best characteristic possessed by Anne and her staff was their ability to educate and empower me to endure an awful situation. Anne and staff are honest and forthcoming, they "shoot from the hip", so to speak. I would and do recommend people to Anne Darring for all family legal needs.

I have worked in the legal field for many years and have an enormous amount of respect for Anne Darring. She is knowledgeable and keeps herself family law knowledge current. She is recognized and well respected in Galveston County. She is very personable and easy to be around. Her office staff is friendly, helpful and knowledgeable in their own right. If - heaven forbid - I were to need a divorce again, she would be the first person I would call. I would recommend her to friend.

I came to Ms. Darring when had missed a court date . She and her staff swung into action and saved me from real trouble. They were persistent,, and agressive for me. It was great to have someone fight for me in a professional and effective manner. I'd hire her again.

Anne has represented me twice SO FAR. This second time she was amazing when the mother of my four year old tried to move across country at last minute without any notice. She worked extremely fast and I couldn't be happier to have my daughter still with me. I recommend her to anyone who asks me.

Anne represented me in my divorce/custody case. I had been represented by one attorney before her and switched to her based upon a referral of a friend. My case was heading downward until Anne came in and picked up the pieces. Her and her staff kept me informed and if I ever wanted to speak directly to my attorney I did not get the run around as I did with my previous attorney.
