Being new to Houston, when my mother passed away, I had to find a probate lawyer in the area to help me with the estate. I chose Merita Rice, PLLC, for several reasons, one being that I try to support women in business whenever possible. Ms. Rice was so professional, candid, and well-versed in all aspects of Probate law. She was completely upfront with me about what the legal fees would be and why. She was prompt and proactive every step of the way and I always felt she was paying close attention to our specific needs. She spent time to show my husband and I what we needed to do on our end, and she gave us clear options and recommendations for how to streamline and simplify the entire process. I will most certainly work with Ms. Rice again if I have any further Probate needs and I highly recommend her to anyone in the North Houston area.
