I would like to take this opportunity to say that it was a pleasure working with Merita Rice. I noted a strong focus on professionalism, including an understanding of, and a focus on, the details required to meet our needs in assisting my wife and I for a marriage based permanent resident in which we obtained a conditional 2-year green card this month - it all started back in August 2018. Merita is a rare individual who has an exceptional focus and took infinite pains to assure that the requirements & practices was being adhered too. I’ve not too often seen this level of focus and detail orientation from any lawyer. Merita drive, focus, and knowledge were very much appreciated.

Adam was one of the first attorneys I called when I realized divorce, and a child custody battle was an inevitability. He does a top notch job explaining things. No one can feel 100% brave/confident going to court in situations like these, but having Adam on your side will make you feel 100 times better. Ms. Rice assisted my wife and I for a marriage based permanent resident in which we obtained a conditional 2 year green card. She then helped us again in 2018 for the removal of those conditions, in which we obtained a permanent resident card. Our case was approved ahead of the expected wait time because of her efficiency and clear expectations for the paperwork that we needed. Her instructions were easy to understand so we were never confused at any point in the process. She is always easy to reach through email and quick to respond with any questions we have which simplified the process even more. Dr Rice assisted us with my mother’s green card process. We started the process ourselves in 2017 while my mother was visiting us in Texas. but timing was an issue and we needed legal advice to complete the documentation and comply with all the requirement on time. We contracted Dr Rice in September 2018. Since the beginning she was very clear in explaining our options and the best way to fill the forms and provide the appropriate documentation. Dr Rice guided us through every step of the process and was always one step ahead of our requirements. She went to my mother’s personal interview with the USCIS officer and was instrumental in helping us to have a very smooth interview. My mother is 80 years old and she was a little nervous. I came to Sally after the unexpected death of my father recently. Unfortunately, he was the primary caretaker and power-of-attorney over my mother due to medical issues of her own. Sally immediately helped designate myself as POA over my mom to ensure any critical decisions regarding her health or financial needs could be dealt with as smoothly as possible. As I began to tie up loose ends in my father's estate, that POA proved invaluable while claiming benefits and dealing with other various institutions on behalf of my mom. On top of handling the POA, Sally identified the need to go through Estate Administration to ensure the seamless transition of assets owned by my father. I also had major concerns and anxiety regarding years of unpaid taxes my father left behind. Sally could sense the pressure it was having on me and reached out to a CPA she knew on my behalf. After sitting down with the accountant, within 15 minutes I had a much better feeling about the situation and what future steps we needed to take. Since my parents filed their taxes jointly and my mom can't physically talk to the IRS, the Estate Administration and POA have enabled me to act on her behalf in that regard as well. Overall, Sally has been an amazing ear to have at all times. She kept me updated through every step of the process, and I never felt on my own while dealing with the estate. Being in a vulnerable position after the death of a parent with no will can be quite intimidating, but I have been completely comfortable and beyond satisfied with Sally's services. Thank You!
