My father died without leaving a will. His estate was less than $50,000 excluding homestead and exempt property. I had hired an attorney before I knew that those circumstances meant that I could bypass probating the estate and file a small estate affidavit. The attorney that I hired remained adamant that I didn't know what I was talking about and that we must conduct a full heirship proceeding. After questioning my attorney 3 times about the small estate affidavit and getting shut down with hostility, I decided that it was in my best interest to seek legal counsel elsewhere. I was referred to Mr. Sortino by the title company who was helping us sell my dad's house. Long story short, he took care of me. He charges a reasonable fee and he truly believes in taking care of his clients. His paralegals are amazing by the way. They would answer my questions promptly and assure me about any legal concerns that I had. Mr. Sortino is the attorney you need. I would use him again in a heart beat and I will definitely refer as much business as I can to him.
