I had an aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and I'm also a convicted felon . So I automatically thought I'm going to prison bc of my prior. Mr Dixon was fair in his price and whenever I reached out to him about my case he was always there . I never felt so comfortable in my life . Mr Dixon was by far the best attorney that I have hired .He's a laid back kind of guy and real down to earth. He came to my parents house to meet me and I knew this guy was going to fight for me. I'm so happy and very pleased with the outcome. Mr Dixon got my case dismissed and it's safe to say I will definitely be more mindful in the future regarding the decisions I make . I don't know or care about anyone else's situation but in my case I'm forever grateful for Mr. Dixon and I would highly recommend his service to anyone in need of a lawyer , so stop playing with those other lawyers who only want to take your money and not fight for you and hire Me. Dixon bc he is a bulldog in the courtoom . Thank you Mr. Dixon

This was the best experience I could've had with a DWI. He kept me well informed with everything that was going on and gave me his expert advice. My case ended up getting completely dismissed!! I am a Flight Attendant and a conviction could've lost me my career and I felt he fought for my best interest! I highly recommend him!!

Mr Dixon helped our son with his legal issues, cases were dropped, or issues were worked out with community service and or paying court fees. Mr Dixon also gave advice as a third person to our son about young men his age and what they do. He gave suggestions to him so that his parents were not the only people giving him advice (thanks Skip). When the occasion called for it he did bring in extra ears to hear the cases. I would use his legal services again and refer him to others.

I have had mr. Dixon represent me several times and each time he fought for me till the very end and each time I was extremely satisfied. Without Mr. Dixon I would be in a bad place right now. I highly recommend him.

Woodrow Dixon III (aka "Skip" Dixon outside of the courtroom, in places such as church) was referred to us as one of the 2 known attorneys that attend our church. We engaged Mr. Dixon as part of an on-going legal effort that we had undertaken but needed a counsel of record to complete the effort. Since much of the leg-work was done already, "Skip" offered to pick up the case and complete for 50% of normal fee. The agreement was 50% upfront, 50% upon completion. Time was of the essence as the "clock was ticking", a trial date was set, etc.
Here is what happened after he was given the money: He did nothing for 2+ months. He didn't file ammended petitions, he didn't file as attorney of record, and he didn't send out critical criminal record checks required by the court. It wasn't until a court-appointed agency contacted with results of an investigation that we relaized that "Skip" had done NOTHING. When I called Skip, and asked why were were still listed as Pro Se petitioners, he claimed that he had filed everything. So, I went down to the court, requested the case file and reviewed it. There was NOTHING in the case file except what others had filed. When I confronted Skip on this, his reply was that he had filed everything but had mistakenly filed "copies" and that the court clerks were holding the documents in suspended animation...but that he would immediately fix the problem. In reality, Intake clerks do not accept copies of anything unless there are extenuating circumstances exist and then it is noted that it is a copy. He fixed the problem all right - the ammeded petition and other supporting documents had wrong cause numbers, mispelled names, omissions, etc. In general, very poor, sloppy work.
Also, there should have been an investigative report from a law enforcement agency included in the file by this time. There was none. Again, when confronting Skip, he claimed he had sent off the request long ago. A phone call to the agency at hand revealed that he hadn't sent them anything. Miraculously though, the request was received by the agency a couple of days later...
Mr. Woodrow "Skip" Dixon was terminated as the managing attorney for this case. Mr Dixon lied on several occasions, was caught in the lies, then lied again to cover it up. He refused to refund any monies paid. We have since learned that we were not the first clients (at our church no less) that he has treated in such a manner. His Modus Operandi appears to be to take your rmoney, then do nothing in return. Then, when confronted, he will try to take advantage of your lack of legal and procedural knowledge. I have proof of Mr. Dixon's actions and they are available upon request.
We will be filing a grievance with the Texas Bar. Hopefully, others will also. He should not be practicing as an attorney.
