Went for a consultation for RE fraud I was told he could handle. His side-kick did all the talking so I directed my questions toward him. Jeff later blurted out "I'm the lawyer!" OK. 2 hours of back & forth and he accuses me of arguing with him!! I'm presenting info yet, having to defend myself. A waste of time & money. He's lowered his rate, that speaks volumes. Beware.

After my consultation, I knew immediately that my family would be represented well. My ex husband of 10 yrs and father of my 2 kids tried to sue for full custody, with no reason other than he didnt want to pay child support. My ex husband is very persistent and controlling and doesn't like to take 'no' for an answer. From the beginning we knew we were looking to fight a long legal battle, even though my new husband and I are great parents with no reason to worry, we still stressed over it. Mr Cotton and his team were very reassuring, very knowledgeable, did all the work, had excellent communication with us and understanding of our concerns. He truly had our backs and it was evident through his countless hours of work on our case. Even though our case has only recently closed, I have already recommended Mr Cotton to 2 of our family friends, one of which hired on the spot. I cannot say enough great things about Jeff Cotton!

Jeff have been amazing attorney for my family. He have handled both me and my wife's divorces, including one case where Jeff flew from Tyler to El paso to handle a family law matter for me. I have always gotten exactly what I expected from this office. He is completely upfront with what he can do and cannot do, therefore there is no confusion in me expecting one thing and getting another. We always agree on intended outcomes up front, and he always delivered exactly what he said he was going to deliver. He has also been great to work with financially. We agreed on a down payment and a payment plan, which I stuck to. He will always handle my family law matters in the future. Jeff has given me exactly what I wanted on 6 completely different cases, 2 divorces, 3 child custody cases, and one small real estate issue. Jeff may not be the cheapest attorney in town, but you get what you pay for, and he's well worth the money spent. Jeff has no issue going up against the big boys, and producing results that remind me why I hired him. One thing about Jeff that me and my wife both liked was the fact that he is a very large man. When my wife was worried about her ex, another large man, we had concerns about him trying to intimidate one of us, (both of us are very short), but with having a 6'6" (just a guess here) Jeff around, we no longer had those concerns. 5 stars for sure.

The Law Office of B. Diane Heindel handled my Child Custody/Child Support case with the utmost professionalism and compassion. Jeffrey Cotten was assigned to my case, but their entire team worked seemlessly together and kept me well informed of my case’s progress from beginning to end. I couldn’t be more pleased with the care and attention Mr. Cotten showed throughout my case. He listened to me and was always ready and more than willing to answer all of my worrisome questions. He addressed my every concern with confidence and an impressive knowledge of family law. I never had to wait for more than a day for a response from him or one of the legal assistants. This law firm truly outperformed even my highest expectations.

I hired Ms. Heindel and Mr. Cotten her associate attorney after my initial consultation and BOTH worked my Custody Modification suit against my childs abusive and neglectful mother, and between the two of them and their legal assistant Molly, I won my case with hardly a fight which for a father is a very hard thing to do. I couldn't be any more happier for my son knowing he's safe and sound all thanks to Ms. Heindel and her incredible staff. They would constantly update me on every aspect of my case, and walked me through every aspect as well, answered any and all questions professionally and represented me the best possible way with the up most respect. If for any reason a need to hire an attorney and my case fits right in with what they practice, you can rest assure I'm hiring Ms. Heindel and Mr. Cotten again. And they worked with me on paying instead of turning their back on me just because I couldn't come up with thousands of dollars right away to protect my child.
