Mr. Platten is the only lawyer I would ever use for myself or anyone I cared about because he's the only lawyer that will seek justice. I was facing a lot of time and was being railroaded by smith county and thank God my wife found Mr. Platten. He not only got me out of jail on a probation violation but got me out without any extra conditions of probation. If you need a great criminal lawyer who you can count on then Mr Platten is your man. Mr. Platten was a fantastic person to work with during my case. He was always just a phone call away and if I had to leave a message he always called back in a timely manner. Great experience!! Left In the dark by court appointed attorney. I didn’t know what was going on and I was honestly scared by the possibility of what could happen and not knowing anything. I hired Mr Platten (which was the best decision I could have made) about 10 days before I was set to go to jury trial. He explained everything to me. He also found out about a couple of cases that were gonna be sprung on me that would have put me away for quite a while. I was looking at a total of 3 State Jail Felonies and a 3rd Degree Felony. I was more than pleased to sign for 4 years probation with no jail time. The judge also wanted to send me to SAFP, but thanks to Mr Platten’s decision to put me on the stand and question me I am able to sit at home and write this instead of sitting in county waiting to catch chain to SAFP. Know that he works a lot and once your case does reach him in time, he will give it absolute focus. I was blindsided by two felony counts and was in scared. I had originally hired Mr. Platten for a DWI, however I ended up with a second DWI, in less than 6 months from the first. Mr. Platten agreed to represent me for both cases and was absolutely excellent through the process. He was very through and also cared for my well being. He was able to negotiate a pre-trial diversion. This would allow me to have a clean record once I completed my probation period of 2 years and their recommendations as ordered. He is an AMAZING ATTORNEY.

We hired Mr Platten to defend my husband in a intoxication manslaughter case. He was facing up to 20 years in prison! This case was a very emotional case considering the victim was his best friend. Mr platten assured us from the very beginning he would do everything in his power to keep him out of jail! And he did!
