Mr. Russell offered excellent advice in an honest, straightforward candor. He was able to hone in on exactly what I was hoping to accomplish and offered me the best tools to do so. It is truly exceptional when an attorney is able to extend sound advice without pretension. A true diamond in the rough. Thank you, Mr. Russell.

Mr. Russell helped me with his legal advice on family relationship issues providing in-depth explanation of possible outcome of our situation. Our interaction was conducted in a great professional manner.

I worked hand in hand with Walter Reaves in the successful effort to free Calvin Washington from a life sentence for a murder he did not commit. Washington's co-defendant, Joe Sidney Williams, also wrongly convicted, was already at liberty because of superb appellate work done by Mr. Reaves. From start to finish, Reaves worked on the Washington case pro bono; even after Washington was freed and paid restitution money, Reaves declined to take a fee. He is a man of principle and compassion. Reaves has been attacked by people who have no scruples, and who would do anything for money. I could not recommend him more highly to anyone seeking legal representation in Texas.

When I hired my attorney and we filed suit, we both quickly learned that we would have to go to arbitration instead of going before a regular Court. My attorney told me that Ross Russell would be the arbitrator that would decide our case. He assured me that Mr. Russell was well-respected and issued fair rulings. When I showed up for the couple days of hearings I was impressed by how Mr. Russell ruled on objections and always explained his reasoning along the way. He let me and my attorney to fully explain our case, and let my opponent explain his side too. Over a million dollars were at stake in this case and Mr. Russell was able to quickly cut through the lawyers' fluff arguments and get to the heart of the case. Even though he didn't rule completely in my favor, he explained all of his reasons and gave everyone his written award. My attorney was astonished at how thorough the award was and how quickly Mr. Russell was able to get this case to a final hearing. This case was resolved in six months and my attorney told me that most lawsuits like this would take nearly two years if we had just went to court. I didn't choose arbitration, and I didn't choose Mr. Russell as my arbitrator, but I'm glad he was the arbitrator for our case.

Ross Russell is an excellent attorney. He helped me incorporate my medical practice, and advised me on the complicated compliance issues in the heath care field. When an ex-partner attempted to sue, thanks to Mr. Russell's guidance, we went to arbitration instead. This saved me and my business thousands, and through his representation in the arbitration, not only did my ex-partner lose, but I actually recovered all my attorney's fees in the arbitration! Hiring Mr. Russell as my attorney has not only saved me money, it's made me money.

Walter Reaves has a suspended suspension from 2009 for not handling the affairs of two appellate clients. Reaves has taken over 15 years to have the DNA in the Lake Waco Triple Murder run AND did not file a Complaint in the case with the Texas Forensics Commission. Melendez himself filed the Complaint.

After a few hours of posting my question, I had received a very educated and well put together response. I was completely in the dark when I first posted on here, but after reading his answer, not only am I now well informed, but it was nice reading a response from someone who is knowledgable, but also kind and supportive in his answer. I will for sure go to him for any more legal questions I may have in the future.

I used Mr. Walter Reaves to help me get an order of non-disclosure for a Class B Misdemeanor. I believe mostly in part to the courts at that time, I was able to get my order rather quickly and I did not have to drive to Waco for an appearance in court (This is one of the biggest benefits to doing this through an attorney).
My biggest complaint about this whole thing is that I paid so much money to have this order of non-disclosure issued that I was not once able to speak with Mr. Reaves on the phone. I had to communicate with him via email. He also failed to respond to my emails in a timely fashion and I had to constantly pester him and his secretary for a response.
He got the job done, but he's just like any typical lawyer: unavailable and unresponsive when you have questions.
