I highly recommend Anthony and his team. Generally speaking I haven’t had many positive experiences with lawyers however even with dealing with a divorce I could not be more pleased with how Anthony handled my case. As a side note I felt I got extremely good case management for the money I spent. I never felt like he was nickel and dimeing me.

Mr. McNeill is a skillful and adroit attorney. A high-powered lawyer that is knowledgeable in the most minute aspects of the law. This is an attorney that is not afraid of going to battle, and I promise you he is not the one you want to be fighting against. He represented me in a child custody case against my ex wife and for the first time I had an attorney that understood, worked hard, and fought for me as a father in the court room. Without Mr.McNeill I believe the court would have lived up to the "mother state" reputation it has. I trusted my future and relationship with my children with this man, and I only wish I would have known him from the start.

Made an appointment for a Consultation for almost 2 weeks away. Well this was the morning of my meeting and No CALL AND LEFT ME HANGING 😔EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED. I called back the following week. Made contact with the secretary, she said it was her mistake. My payment didn't go through and they didn't set my appointment?? I waited almost a month for one appointment. And they totally forgot about me. She told me she'd be happy to make another appointment for the $50 copay.. The fact that I had to wait a month and now she still is going to charge me a petty copay is ridiculous. I will never suggest this company to anyone. I did a lot of research and put trust in this company.. And they wasted my time.

There aren’t enough positive words in the English language to describe Anthony McNeill, or how well he does his job. He is a top notch attorney. My divorce case was not an easy one to take on. It seemed like every time we turned around there was another obstacle we had to deal with. Anthony McNeill handled each obstacle with pure professionalism. He always kept me in the loop, and reassured me when times would get stressful. There was never a time that I ever had to wait for him to return my email or call, day or night. He truly cares for all his clients and always puts their best interest first. Anyone would be so fortunate to have Anthony McNeill represent them. If you want the best. Then don’t settle for anyone else. Thank you for always having my back Anthony. You will always be the best in my book.

Lisa is extremely knowledgeable, well-spoken, dedicated, and very communicative with her clients. I was kept very well informed of developments in my case, and she returned all of my calls. This was very important to me. She was very professional, and explained to me the legal process involved in my child custody case. She even let me know that my infant son wouldn't be allowed in the courtroom by the presiding judge so I was able to make arrangements for his care during the hearings. Her notes were extensive and her research is impeccable. Lisa makes it a point not to speak over her clients' heads and doesn't use legalese or get vague or evasive when asked questions. I recommend her without any reservations of any kind.

Showed up for pretrail hearing on a speeding ticket & driving with suspended license. My attorney (Kenneth Price) was a no show & judge was sending unrepresented defendants home for a future court date. Since I live almost 5 hrs away and work a lot this was unacceptable. I decided to go outside the box and attempt to hire one of the attorneys in court rep. other clients, judge agreed and I found Mr. Wainwright who agreed to help, not only did he have my speeding ticket deferred but he also had my driving while license suspended thrown out. Did all this within 15 minutes and no prior knowledge of my case. Really got me out if a jam, great guy! Thanks

Mr. Wainwright is straight up honest. He is the most upstanding professional in Parker County. He will fight for your rights and not just settle. I know it sounds like a Dinosaur how ever he is an Attorney that cares about you. If you need an Attorney in Parker County or other areas hire Mr. Wainwright. Before hiring an Attorney go sit in on the District Court cases. You will see Attorneys in their wrinkled suites sitting on the wood fence and edges of the tables laughing and joking, I am assuming talking about the new toys they will be buying with your money. THEN YOU will see Mr. Wainwright all polished and paying attention to every detail waiting for the opportunity to represent you in the way that you have trusted and hired in him. He does not disappoint. He will fight for what he believes in. And if that is you then you need not to look any further as he is the best Attorney in Parker County.

After spending over an hour attempting to locate an attorney; Mr. Mitchell answered the telephone himself and was nice enough to spend his personal time on the telephone with me helping me to go in the correct direction... He was professional and polite and exceedingly timely. I can recommend this Attorney at Law without reservations.

Can a Lawyer Represent Me in Courts Outside of Weatherford, Texas?

Whether a lawyer can represent you in courts outside of your city or state depends on their licensure and the jurisdiction of the court:

  • Within the Same State:
Lawyers licensed in a particular state can typically practice anywhere within that state, including all cities and counties. They can represent you in both state and federal courts located in that state.
  • Outside of Their Licensed State:
If your case is in a different state, the lawyer must be licensed in that state to represent you. However, there are exceptions:
    • Pro Hac Vice Admission: An out-of-state lawyer can request special permission to represent a client in a specific case in another state. This requires filing a motion with the court and often working in conjunction with a local attorney.
    • Federal Courts: If your case is in federal court, a lawyer licensed in any state may be able to represent you, provided they are admitted to practice in that particular federal court.
  • International Representation:
For cases outside the United States, different rules apply, and the lawyer may need to comply with the foreign country's legal requirements or collaborate with local counsel.

It's important to discuss your specific situation with the lawyer to determine if they can represent you in the desired jurisdiction and what steps may be necessary to do so.

How to Check the Credibility of a Lawyer

Before hiring a lawyer, it's crucial to verify their credibility and ensure they're qualified to handle your case:

  • Verify Their License:
Check with your state's bar association to confirm the lawyer is licensed and in good standing. Most state bar websites have an online directory for this purpose.
  • Experience and Specialization:
Ensure the lawyer specializes in the area of law relevant to your case. Review their website, professional profiles, and case history.
  • Disciplinary Record:
Look up any history of disciplinary actions or complaints through the state bar association's records.
  • Client Reviews and Testimonials:
Read reviews on legal directories like Avvo, Martindale-Hubbell, Google, or Yelp to gauge client satisfaction and experiences.
  • Professional Memberships:
Membership in professional organizations or specialty bar associations can indicate a commitment to their field and adherence to high ethical standards.
  • Awards and Recognitions:
Honors from reputable organizations reflect expertise and a positive reputation in the legal community.
  • Consultation Assessment:
Use the initial consultation to evaluate their communication skills, responsiveness, and willingness to address your concerns.
  • Ask for References:
A credible lawyer should be willing to provide references from past clients who can speak to their abilities and professionalism.

What Should I Prepare for My First Consultation?

To make the most of your initial meeting with a lawyer, come prepared with:

  • Relevant Documents:
Bring all documents related to your case, such as:
    • Contracts or agreements
    • Correspondence (emails, letters, texts)
    • Legal notices or court papers
    • Financial records (if applicable)
    • Evidence (photos, videos, receipts)
  • Written Summary:
Prepare a concise written summary of your situation, including key dates, events, and parties involved. This helps the lawyer quickly understand the context.
  • List of Questions:
Write down any questions you have about your case, the legal process, fees, or the lawyer's experience.
  • Financial Information:
If your case involves financial matters, bring relevant documents like pay stubs, tax returns, bank statements, or invoices.
  • Contact Information:
Provide details of any witnesses or other parties relevant to your case, including their names and contact information.
  • Personal Identification:
Bring a valid photo ID for verification purposes.
  • Pen and Notebook:
Take notes during the consultation to remember important points discussed.
  • Budget Constraints:
Be ready to discuss your budget and any financial limitations so the lawyer can provide appropriate guidance on fees and payment options.
  • Openness and Honesty:
Be prepared to discuss your case candidly. Full disclosure allows the lawyer to give accurate advice and anticipate potential challenges.
