It is difficult to not echo a lot of the comments you will already read about Ben, however I feel I am doing him an injustice by not doing so. FIrst, have you really ever heard of a client WANTING to write a review for their lawyer?? In my experience, half of the battle is getting ahold of your counsel or feeling that they are operating in your best interest. With Ben that is far from the case. I prefer email since I work so much and Ben would answer all emails in less than 1/2 a day (not trying to set expectations here). When I felt a call was warranted he was quick to return a call and almost always same day. Open communication is important but his attention to detail and professional representation makes me feel good about the entire process. He is there to WIN for you but will also heed your advice if necessary. Ben is a HUMAN that works with you and a complete opposite from the bad name other lawyers give the profession. Ben's hourly fee is completely warranted simply due to the fact that he will only bill you for the time that he spends on your case. It is easy for a lawyer to take advantage of this, but this was not the case. If he did, there would be different types of reviews here. Meet with him, trust your gut and hire the best lawyer in Austin.

Ben was a staunch ally, candid, committed to serving my best interests and kept me informed throughout the divorce proceedings, handling things promptly and representing me with steady conviction. I saw him in action both in the courtroom for a temporary orders hearing as well as in mediation, and he was articulate and moreover sincere. Ben is smart, and does not pad his bills with gratuitous fees. He works hard --- often responding to emails of mine late at night, or taking calls when I really had a few urgent considerations and needed to communicate with him pronto. He is a good man, and a good attorney.

Ben is an excellent attorney and I would recommend him to everyone. I just got finished with an interstate custody case where my child's father was seeking full custody. Ben was able to not only get the jurisdiction changed to my current state and my child's father dropped his suit, but he also mediated a very good visitation schedule with my daughter's father. His legal writing is superb and he was well prepared for court. He was aggressive the times when he needed to be. Most of our communication took place via email which made it more convenient for me especially since I was over 1200 miles away and it definitely kept the cost down. Wow! What a Top Notch Litigator! Due to unforeseen life circumstances which involved pursuing legal actions against employer among other high ranking officials. I was now embroiled in a divorce property case dispute. After 9 distrusted attorneys whom I terminated. Ben was highly recommended to me by new-comer in my neighborhood. After subsequently experiencing unethical,dishonest and fraudulent attorneys. I was suspicious and cautious in the reliability of another attorney. Just had the worst phone conversation I've ever had with someone I thought would want to help. Mr. Carrasco was very unpleasant from the beginning of the conversation. His rebuttals towards my simple questions were not welcoming at all. I'm an Austinite and feel we should carry ourselves in a delightful manner. Mr. Carrasco will never represent me, also I will ensure to share my experience with others so they will not have to experience what I experienced today.

My case was a modification to get more time with my kids. I've worked with a lot of lawyers here in Austin, TX. And I've discovered that there is definitely an "old boys club" for lawyers here. Ben operates outside of that club. To other family attorneys in Austin, he is a "dark horse." A definite advantage! Ben predicted exactly how the case would go in the initial consultation. He didn't sugar-coat. He told me the worst that could happen and the best that I could expect. Then he delivered the best that I could expect -- in mediation, without going to court. He got to know me and my case, and did all the legwork you'd expect without the cost that I've seen other lawyers charge. He paid attention to the cost of the whole endeavor for me, including getting a less expensive mediator than the one who was first proposed. I will definitely hire Ben again!

Having an opportunity to get modifications in regards to child custody is a huge challenge for a father, especially in Texas. Ben exceeded expectations and was able to get my ex-wife to compromise what was best for our son. After using another attorney who failed to fully represent me, I searched for a great attorney who would fight for me. I spoke with at least twenty to thirty different personal attorneys during the search. Ben stood out as someone who was honest, straight forward, and would be committed. After hiring him and he took on the case, I felt very comfortable that he was ahead of the game. He quickly began taking steps to get the scales balanced. Ben filed the documents with the specificity I requested and followed up consistently. After getting the judge to agree to extend the hearing date, Ben scheduled a deposition and took to the necessary steps to prepare for the hearing. During the deposition with my ex-wife, he was assertive, professional, and was able to get her to give information that could be used in court. Between the deposition and the scheduled hearing, Ben followed up with any requests and was aggressive when he needed to be. My major concerns were to have my son back in school (no longer home schooled by his mother), being involved in his educational planning, spending more time with him, and having geographical restrictions. All of this was accomplished and Ben always made me feel like we had the upper hand during the case. One of the best things about him, is he is truly honest and will not just tell you what you want to hear. He literally told me multiple times, "you're going to spend more money that way," when it came to some of my impulse ideas. How many attorneys are going to try to save you money? My ex-wife has been one of the toughest people to deal with when it came to child custody, but I truly can relax now and that's because of a great lawyer who made it happen. If you want someone who will support you and get it done, Ben is the guy!

Mr. Carrasco was my fourth lawyer handling my case. I found in him the one who I really needed after the first three lawyers failed to deliver in ten years what Mr. Carrasco was able to achieve in just a few months. First, I was quite pleased with his communication style. He just didn’t just listen, but asked relevant questions and kept me to the point. From the beginning he was passionate and took ownership of the case even when at times I found myself with little time to interact with him. His exhaustive research and preparation showed during the trial. His closing argument was simply brilliant and inspiring. The outcome of the case was even better than I expected, yet from the start I was already pleased by his services for the way he communicated with me. In summary Mr. Carrasco exceeded the already high expectations that I had for a professional of his caliber.

Being my first (and hopefully only) divorce I had no idea what I was doing. The first lawyer I hired was atrocious! He was part of the good ole’ boys club and I got billed when I called him to have him give me a report that he had done nothing in my case (several months strong!): true story. I thought for sure what people say about lawyers must be true…and then I found Ben. Ben was the 8th lawyer I interviewed and he isn’t like other lawyers and that’s a good thing. First of all, Ben is the ultimate professional: knowledgeable, honest, hard working, and straight forward. Ben doesn’t throw faces or provide drama that a client has to manage in addition to their already unfortunate situation. He also isn’t a lawyer who hides behind a fancy building with lots of support staff fielding interactions with clients: he is, however, responsive and because he doesn’t have the overhead, his rates are VERY reasonable. Don’t get me wrong, the building he is in is nice, you just don’t feel like your payments are going towards the Italian office desks or cork flooring. In the courtroom Ben was more prepared than my husband’s lawyer and his arguments were more strategic and effective. There was absolutely nothing easy or straight forward about my case and in the beginning I never thought I’d say this, but my life is better now. Really, I’m telling you: do yourself a favor and just call Ben.

I did research before selecting Ben to do my divorce. Unfortunately, it was not my first divorce and I already knew how difficult and prolonged these matters take. I met with other attorneys before I decided that Ben would be the best to help me. His education and experience really appealed to me and I certainly am glad that I chose him. I was a basket case the entire time because I did not want the divorce, so he was forced to listen to phone calls with a crying client many times. He was very patient and just let me get it all out even though , of course these were things that he could not help me with. He then would have me focus back on the case and what we needed to do legally. Even so, he still answered the phone every time and was so attentive to my situation. When you call Ben he is always there and if not he returns your call within a few minutes. This applies to weekends and evenings. He is on top of everything steering the way to a quick resolution and divorce. He protected me during this process because he could tell that I was a mess. He did an AMAZING job with my outcome and many people are surprised when I tell them the final outcome of my divorce. They really do not believe me because it is so much more than the standard result., I received such an additional amount because Ben did such a wonderful job. He negotiated my needs, and DEMANDED that the other side respond in my favor, while at the same time keeping me out of a long court divorce. My divorce was over very quickly and he wrapped up all of the details just like a pro. Our divorce had many complicated real estate issues in it and Ben took care of all of them . He added extra documents to make sure that I would not have to pay any taxes now or in the future on what I had been awarded in the divorce. I have grown to really admire and appreciate Ben for everything that he did for me. He is smart, handsome, quiet, so educated and will catch anything that the other side trys to do and throw it back to them in double. I would tell anyone to use him for their legal matters because in the end you will be so happy that you did. He will take such good care of you because that is just what he does and he does it very well! I have two grown sons just about Ben's age and he protected me like my boys do. In the end I have only great things to say about Ben.
