Throw everything you think about lawyers out the window! My family has been working with Matt for quite some time now. I have never not felt important, or that our issues don't matter. Matt has gone above and beyond. I always get a call back when I leave a message or send an email. Matt has worked tirelessly for my family, and I doubt we even got charged for every single phone call or text. I have to be honest, its hard to find an attorney who really cares about what they do, and isn't just looking for a fat pay day. I must add, the work Matt has done for my family has ranged from simple little charges to large very complicated ones. If you are looking for an attorney who is TOP NOTCH at what he does, and charges a fair rate, then you need to call Matt. I can never thank him enough for what he has done for us!

If I could give zero stars here I would. Terrible communication, terrible service. We set up a time for a phone meeting and he didn’t call, I set time aside just for this when I could have been making money working on a few jobs. I waited ten minutes and called because I thought maybe there was a miscommunication. I sat on hold for five minutes waiting to be transferred and thought forget this if it’s already starting out like this I can see how the rest of the business dealings with this firm will be. I hung up. He calls back within a few minutes and we start kind of going over my case. I offered to pay for an hour of his time to see if it was worth it to move forward with my insurance claim before we started talking (my mistake). He never mentioned the first consultation was free, I found that on his website when I went to leave a review. We talked for maybe 15 minutes. The entire time I could just hear him chewing and eating very loudly, he wasn’t even paying attention to me or anything I was saying. He basically just repeated things I had said back to him in between his loud chewing here and there. I realized quickly it was going nowhere and said I would go at it alone. He transferred me to his secretary to pay, I laughed when she said it would be $195 and i told her I couldn’t wait to leave a review. Within a few minutes I get a call back from Matt or whatever his name is and he starts arguing with me about the phone call and why I would want to leave a review. I called him out on the eating thing and how he wasn’t even listening and he told me he was eating nuts.... lol. He couldn’t even wait 30 minutes for a business call to get his nut fix. I told him if I did business like that I wouldn’t be in business and he just wanted to argue more. I Paid $195 to listen to a guy eat nuts for 15 mins, stay away from this law firm! ( response to this half truth reply I got from them this morning) - We talked for maybe two minutes the week before to set up a time that we could have a meeting. If that is a consultation maybe I don’t understand how business works, I didn’t know that I should pay to make an appointment. I too hadn’t eaten all day because I was working, my wife had just deep fried some chicken wings and cheese sticks for me to eat real quick While I was home for a few to talk with you. I didn’t eat them while on the phone because that’s what respectful people do, especially when they have set that time aside just to talk. I brought up paying you for an hour of your time before we even started getting into my case, not because you gave me valuable, usable information and I paid you for that like the picture your trying to paint with your reply. I did that out of respect for a fellow business person who I thought was spending his time to help me because time is money and I understand that. Why do you think I cut the conversation short at 12-15 mins? Hmmm. Maybe the attorney that referred you guys should know how you are treating his clients so he stops sending money your way. This isn’t the first review you guys have received where the customer felt completely ignored and had wasted their time. You literally munched in my ear the entire conversation not one handful of nuts. I don’t hold a grudge or any resentment at all towards you, I just want to help people avoid the same situation that I was in so they too don’t waste their time and find an attorney that will actually help them with his full attention. I got notified of the refund hours after we had spoken not immediately like the great picture you want to paint here for future clients. The bottom line is you felt comfortable charging me $195 while you sat there and ate in my ear for 15 minutes with absolutely no valuable or usable information passed my way. Again, if I did business like that I wouldn’t be in business. Have a great day!

Matt Munson and his staff are great to work with. Mr. Munson always goes above and beyond for us. He is knowledgeable and always is willing to answer the same question more than once! He is great with the elderly. My mother and father needed his help with a guardianship and trust. Dad is hard of hearing, so Mr. Munson took his time explaining details and was very patient. His staff is very helpful, they really respond quickly to inquiries, and even Mr. Munson calls when he says he is going to. That is unusual for attorneys. I recommend him to everyone that asks me if I know a good attorney.

Five stars is not enough.  Teachers can give an A+. I believe there ought to be a Five Star Plus. Over my 54-years, I have, unfortunately needed to retain a few lawyers. So, If you're looking for an attorney that knows his business, is well-respected, has a great rapport with his colleagues and the judges; you need Matt Munson. Matt and his crew, care about you and your struggles, then choose to go the extra mile time and time again. Matt Munson  5+ stars

Matt worked on a pretty complicated business and personal case for us. What struck me is that, not only was he able to effectively execute his duties on the case, he was also able to effectively counter the unscrupulous and unethical work of an attorney on the other side. Matt was clear with us on our prospects. He was also personable and kept us in the loop on changes to the case. Matt's staff were also extremely helpful. As anyone who has dealt with an attorney knows, the staff are a huge part of getting things done and getting them done correctly. Matt has cultivated a culture with his team that makes working with them easy in difficult circumstances. I don't think I could have asked for a better attorney.

Matt is a man of resounding character, willing to stand up for what’s right, defend truth and take on the “big guy” if necessary to uphold it. That’s exactly what our case was “a big guy trying to take advantage of a little guy”. Our case: my husband and I purchased a home in 2014, located in a beautiful, quiet cul-de-sac, where the back of our property line buts up to a local medical clinic. After we moved in, patrons and/or employees from the medical clinic began parking on the back portion of our lot. We then discovered the owners of the medical clinic and the previous home owner (who worked for them as a nurse) exchanged money for a part of the property before selling the home and “all” of the property to us. Mind you, this transaction was not done legally, as this property sits in a residential area and is part of a subdivision with CCRs that prevent subdivision of lots for any commercial use. To accomplish this, the owners of the medical clinic used their influence in the community to have an employee of the county recorder’s office falsify documents. When we learned this, we went to the county recorder’s office to verify our property lines and discovered they were indeed exactly as listed in our purchasing documents (the appraisal, title, warranty deed, etc., even the Zillow listing the home owner created). The county recorder’s office had no record of any subdivision of our lot or any competing deeds for the property. We informed the owners of the medical clinic of this and they stated they had an unrecorded deed that entitled them to a part of our property. Shortly after, a renowned doctor with the clinic tried several times to record that deed at the county recorder’s office and it was denied. After this, they approached us about purchasing the back part of our property. Their attorney drafted a document advising us that we could sell them part of our property without notifying our bank, “essentially asking us to commit financial fraud”. We weren’t against selling them a part of our property, but only if it was done legally, which would have required dealing with CCRs, rezoning, subdividing, redoing our home loan and appraisal, etc., all of which we couldn’t afford. From here, it all became quite ugly to say the least. They filed misleading and disingenuous complaints with our employer(s), and sent their attorney to our home where he served my 6 year-old papers. This was the beginning of many deliberate acts they performed to make our lives difficult, even coming to our home and yelling, swearing, and threatening us, stating they would bankrupt us if we did not relinquish claim to the property. At this point, we acquired Matt to defend us. After several years, a trial date was finally set, and a ruling/verdict was given in the Sixth District Court, in the State of Utah, which concluded their entire case was filed with the court in “bad faith”. The judge ruled that while my husband and I provided honest/reliable testimony, all of those who testified on behalf of the medical clinic did not. They are all documented liars now in the eyes of the court. Furthermore, the owners of the medical clinic were ordered to pay all our attorney/court fees. Throughout this process, my husband and I felt Matt was the only one who stood with us because of the political powers these people held within our community. Matt was the only one with enough character to stand up for what was right and defend truth. Matt told us early on, “I can defend anything, except a lie”. Thank you Matt for representing us and standing up against those who wield their influence and power corruptly. You defended us well, taking on their two attorneys, the county recorder’s office, and several prominent medical doctors and investors in the community. Thank you for following up after the trial by attending planning and zoning to assure the medical clinic came into compliance with city ordinances so there won’t be any future issues.

My husband and I were fortunate enough to hire M.A. Law for our adoption process. Many times, Matt was able to council with us and help us with the direction of our case. Matt was able to attend meetings on our behalf, participate in court hearings and adoption team phone calls. He really showed that he cared about us and our little girl. M.A. Law also has exceptional empolyees that work behind the scene, and keep things moving. We are very happy with the outcome of our Adoption Case, and we THANK M.A. LAW for their awesome service!!!!
