First and foremost, Emily’s communication was awful, she was hard to get ahold of and did not respond in a timely manner. Her strategies and tactics were incredibly flawed, the attorney my husband used after Emily commented many times on the fact that Emily should have never advised him to enter into the agreements that she did. Emily was overly friendly with the opposing attorney and seemed to care more about making a deal with him than doing what was best for her client.

Emilie Bean is one of the best family law attorneys in the State of Utah. Not only does she know how to handle just about every situation that can arise in a divorce and custody battle, but she genuinely wants what is best for her clients.

Catherine has been my divorce attorney and has done an amazing job. She not only won my case for me, but has been very supportive and has been a great listener and someone I trust with what is most important to me. I wouldn't go with anyone else!

She was terrible. What should have been a simple case was drug out for almost a year. She never answers calls and when you get ahold of her secretary you will never get a call back. Many documents had to be redone because there were simple errors that she should have caught. Do not go with her!!!

Catherine, is a very passive lawyer. If you want an aggressive lawyer, she is not right for you. She is very interested in keeping strong relationships with the attorney's she works with. She works for her own personal interests and pushes what she believes to be "right for you". In my case, privileged communication was jeopardized and information was leaked to my ex's attorney and was brought to my attention by the custody evaluator. In court, she forgot to request items that we had previously discussed and were important to my case. She is not proactive in moving things forward. She can be very expensive because she draws things out for a long period of time. I have heard from other community sources that other people who have worked with her have said the same thing. She doesn't update her clients and it was common for me to go 2 weeks or longer without getting an update. She wouldn't inform me on the laws and as I researched them in more depth, I learned that she was having me agree to things that I shouldn't be agreeing to. She knew that I didn't have a lot of money so I was low priority to her.

Bean and Micken hasn’t been the same since Christina left the firm to to be a judge. I’m very proud of Christina! The rest of the staff leaves much to be desired!
