Wow, I can't even begin to explain how grateful I am for hiring Yaiko Carranza!! I hired another law firm at the beginning of my custody battle and lets just say... that was a major waste of money. My experience with moody brown law firm so far has been nothing but extraordinary. They are very quick and very good at what they do! I truly can't thank them enough. As a father in Utah I have felt very frustrated at times but hiring Moody Brown Law was the best thing I could have ever done for mine and my sons life. My son is now with me and safe! For the first time I feel like I finally am being heard. Don't make the expensive mistake I made by hiring any other law firm.. Go with the best!

I had the opportunity to have Marylyn as my attorney, and Marilyn was the best thing that happened to me during a difficult time.  She did a marvelous job in my case. I never believed in divorce, just tried and tried to do the best I could under awful situations. At one point felt running away would save my life but still no divorce till I realized it would never be safe to go back and he had full legal power over everything, having made me sign everything away. I had a wonderful therapist that helped me realize that sometimes divorce is the right choice. I prayed about it before deciding. I began to ask around, also terrified of being taken advantage of by lawyers. Over and over again, Marylin Moody Brown was recommended. I talked to her and right away she told me how to reverse all the documents signing away my income, home worth and medical choices. I was so amazed and felt like she was taking me by the hand. She did teach and help me infinitely. My ex said he couldn't find anyone who wanted to oppose her because they knew they would lose. My fear was greatly reduced hearing this. I have always been an emergency room nurse and loved helping people. I truly believe they all love helping people.

I first contacted Zachary Starr because I needed help with custody of my daughter. I still remember, I had multiple appointments the first day I met Zack. Thankfully, Zack was my first appointment, and last. After meeting with Zack I was sure he was the attorney that I wanted and needed. As any other person, I have close to no understanding of the legal world. Zack took the time to teach me about both my daughter's and my rights as a father. I met with Zachary when I wanted to change a very unfair divorce decree. I paid a consultation fee just to see him because I had heard great things. After about 5 minutes he told me my case was hopeless and I should just agree to everything my ex wife wanted. For the next two years I did and then met with a different attorney who felt I had been taken advantage of and actually had my decree changed. I wish I would've found another attorney two years ago and saved myself a lot of time, money and heartache.

I wish we didn’t need an attorney but glad that we were able to enlist the services of Grant Dickinson to deal with our legal matters. Grant has been great to work with and responsive to our needs. His confident, calming demeanor along with his negotiating skills in dealing with a difficult and combative adversary, made all the difference. In September 2015 I retained Yaiko Carranza to assist me with my divorce case. While Yaiko was out of town I was pushed into a situation where I needed to put a protective order in place for my son and I. Due to the seriousness of the situation, I got the protective order granted. A few days before my hearing I was notified that Yaiko did not do protective orders and that Grant Dickinson would be the one attending my order hearing. I had over an hour conversation with Grant Dickinson to explain in detail my case and my situation so we were prepared for our hearing date. Grant showed up late to my hearing unprepared and hardly knew my name let alone any of the information or details about my case that I shared with him prior. Grant allowed the other attorney to belittle me without so much as an objection or rebuttal. When it was his turn to speak he did not even defend me. He also allowed the other attorney to move forward on the temporary orders of my divorce case without any information about my case or what I shared with him. The results were devastating. The protective order was thrown out, the temporary orders put into place gave my alcoholic ex full physical and legal custody of my son, I was thrown out of my home and forced to find housing for my son and I and was granted “parenting time” every other weekend. I reached out to Yaiko Marilyn to try to fix the situation. A few days later they filed an objection and then withdrew. A year later I am still fighting this case, I still have my son full time because of my ex’s condition, my ex’s home is in foreclosure which is partially mine, my ex has 2 domestic violence cases in front of a minor and I still have not received anything along the lines of support for my son and I. Saying that I was poorly represented is an understatement. This disaster has not only lost me my home but has made this last year a total nightmare.
