We hired Jessica's firm to represent me in a custody and decree modification case brought against me by my ex-husband. The firm billed us for our entire retainer every month, no matter what was happening in our case, they billed at least $2,000! We finally became dissatisfied with the attorney representing us and reached out to Jessica to hear our grievance and see if she could yield some results in the case. Jessica took two weeks to initially respond to us and over a month to finally hear us out. In the mean time Jess sent a very condescending and hostile email, that she billed over $400 for. I thought hiring a law firm of all women would be very good to work with as a single mother, but they were no help. We paid them a small fortune over 4 months and have now had to hire a new attorney and essentially start over in my case. Zero results, zero accountability. Jess personally refused to give us any refund.

I would and have recommended Jess and her team to several people in our community they are extremely knowledgeable and thorough. I felt supported and heard while going through the process, which allowed me to stay focused on what mattered most, my wellbeing. The amount of case law references that went into my same sex marriage case were undeniably what helped my case. the amount of support they provide in court was outstanding.

My experience with Just Law could not have gone more smoothly. I contacted them about changing my legal name and gender marker to a neutral “X” and Jessica Couser took my case. She reassured me that I would not be the first person she helped get a neutral gender marker. She was flexible and gave me options to meet my financial needs, so I chose to fill out and file out the legal documents on my own.
