Just don’t. When I first spoke with Laura she was fierce and I thought she was just who I needed in my case. For the first few months she kept referring to my son as my daughter. She couldn’t even remember my child. They claim to try to explain fees but anytime I would question it, Laura would give me attitude and then say “we can go hourly if you’d like, it’ll be more expensive.” I paid her $20,000 and she quoted me another $30,000 to finish my child custody case. And I could never get her on the phone. The $300 per month retainer was supposed to be for lawyer briefings and emails yet I rarely heard from her. Then she dropped her cases, including mine and handed me off to another attorney in their office. Then I was handed off again. When I started shopping around I heard from several paralegals that this is common practice with Laura. I did express my frustration with them on several occasions. I hired a lawyer because I did not go to law school. They were not informative, they would not respond quickly and many times I saw billing errors. I had to do my own research on what things I should be documenting. My experience was so bad with just law I decided to continue on my own. I only wish I fired them sooner. It truly felt like Laura was my opposing counsel and had zero interest in my case.

This law firm only does family law. I love that. They work with families and nothing else. They are wonderful professionals who did a great job helping us navigate the lengthy legal issues surrounding child custody. They are always willing to answer questions and help in any way. Very warm and welcoming staff.

Going through a divorce is never easy, so grateful to Laura Hansen and her amazing team that made one of the most difficult times in my life that much easier. They are extremely knowledgeable, personable, and willing to fight for what's just and fair. I recommend Just Law to all my friends going through life-altering events.

Jess was wonderful to work with during our initial consultation. She explained what we could expect, answered our questions in a thorough and straightforward manner, and took the time to bring up some concerns that we mentioned in our initial email but not face to face. We are looking forward to continuing a working relationship with Just Law. They have been great so far.

I do not recommend Just Law because they are sloppy at their work, scam you into thinking you can ask your ex for spousal support when they don't have a job and stay home to take care of kids, they will believe a lie over the truth, they sign for you when they are not your attorney, and schedule mediation with the mediator that had his law license taken away. They think with their hearts and not their brains.

Just law is beyond amazing!! Conor, Kay and Melissa are truly exceptional!! They are so helpful and caring during the hardest of times when going through custody! Best team out there!!!

Just law team is professional, knowledgeable, and compassionate. Being an immigrant, unfamiliar with US family laws and trying to get out of toxic relationship and then dealing with nasty tricks of my ex-husband during divorce was not easy for me.
