Our experience with Barbara was amazing. We utilized her services for over a year and a half and will do so again in the future. She is very knowledgable in her field(s) and she is extremely compassionate. She truly cares about her clients and I could not have made a better choice than to place my trust in her. Best immigration lawyer in town experienced and precise

Really bad service, my employer paid Barbara for the H1b process, she was terrible explaining to the company all the process even though they explained this was the first time they did it. We found out other people had received their packages back when they didn't enter into the lottery, so we wrote Barbara and she answer after several calls and emails saying I didn't get into the lottery and that was all, she never gave us a case number to confirm that USCIS received our case, after the email explaining I didn't get into the lottery she never answered any email or call. Terrible service.

My family and I seeked out Lawyer Barbara Melendez due to her great reputation and we’re sure glad we did! When we first met with her she truly listened to all of our concerns and set out an effective plan to help get residency in the United States. Being in the middle of a legal status situation is very difficult and overwhelming. Thanks to Barbara and her staff we felt that we weren’t just another case, she kept us well informed which made us feel confident and allowed us to remain calm. She made us fell very comfortable with all her efforts and by her keeping clear and constant communication with us we were never lost in the process. This case took around 3 years and I couldn’t imagine going through it with any other lawyer. I would definitely recommend her! The professionalism, ginuine concern for her clients and knowledge she exhibits is exceptional.

We hired Barbara last year to help us through the K1 visa process, and it was a terrible experience. Throughout the process, the unprofessional behavior and inattention to detail displayed by Barbara and her staff was astounding. 1. One of the primary reasons we chose her was because she advertised that she is fluent in Portuguese, but as far as I could tell, that was not the case. While she seemed familiar with the language, she never used it to clarify things that my fiancé had difficulty understanding in English. 2. Two of the questions in the I-129 form were not answered by her office in the original submission and were included in a request for evidence. 3. The final documents and instructions we received from her office listed the DOS number of a different person, I am assuming one of her other clients. 4. I reviewed the DS-160 before it was submitted and found multiple spelling errors and incorrectly entered information which had to be corrected. 5. The most damning mistake was made in our interview appointment request. Barbara’s office misspelled my fiancé’s surname, and then switched my fiancé’s given name and surname in the online appointment application. On the online form, it specifically states that any errors in the name will result in processing delays. My fiancé was questioned about the mistake during his interview at the consulate, and each time he spoke with a government representative thereafter. When I asked Barbara about it, she put the blame on the consulate, which she later acknowledged wasn’t true after being shown evidence that her staff had been at fault. Ironically, In Barbara’s message apologizing for the mistake made with my fiancé’s name, she referred to my fiancé several times as “Daniel”, which isn’t his name. These mistakes were unacceptable, and incredibly frustrating, given the thousands of dollars that we had invested in Barbara’s services. After receiving the visa, we obviously did not enlist her services for the green card process. Before the submission of the I-485, we consulted with another attorney, and it was at that moment that I realized just how terrible Barbara’s service had been. In just one $100 consultation with this other attorney, I felt a reassurance that I never once had during any of our interactions with Barbara. In summary, I would advise anyone who is considering hiring Barbara’s team to seek the second opinion of another immigration lawyer—I highly recommend Adam Crayk.

We are so pleased with Mrs. Melendez and her team. Very dedicated to their work, and understanding, for such a long and agonizing process they were the ray of sunshine and our last hope. Me cobro $250 por la consulta. me dijo q tenia un caso muy bueno y q Ella estaba dispuesta ah ayudarme, me dio muchas iluciones pero cuando le mande todos mis documentos y le llame para preguntar si los avia recibido, me dijo q si. Que Ella me regresaria la llamada despues porqe estaba ocupada. Nunca mas regreso la llamada, yo la llamaba una vez por semana y nunca me contestaba un dia pude localizar a Barbara Melendez. Y me dijo q Ella no podia hacer nada por mi q le siguiera llamando a su otra abogada. Y q el dinero no me lo podia regresar. Son ratas con traje!!!

Han pasado casi dos años después de haber pagado 4,000$ por hacer los papeles a mi hija. Su oficina envió los papeles con la fecha de nacimiento I correcta, fue su error. Desde entonces no tengo noticias de ustedes. No responden mis llamadas ni mis mensajes. Mi hija no tiene seguridad social y no puede viajar fuera del país a ver a su familia. Me siento engañada y robada. Pague las tasas de 450$ otra vez el año pasado porque por su culpa caducaron los plazos de entrega. Sigo sin noticias esto es de malas personas.
