Laura, Organized and Structured A Decree of Divorce and Findings of Fact & Conclusions of Law which was sent and signed off from the Third Judicial District Court form the State of Utah. Laura is amazing... very detailed and very intelligent. When I seek to work with an attorney/lawyer to represent me, I look at six Character points; 1. dependability 2. Loyalty 3. Ability 4. positive mental attitude 5. willing to go the extra mile, and 6. applied Faith. Laura represents and owns all six of these characteristics attributes. What I experienced in working with Laura, is she identfies situations as opportunity's rather than problems therefor always delivering great results. I highly recommend Laura D Johnson.

I worked with Laura several years ago now, but have recently revisited my case history for personal (not legal) reasons. Laura was my first attorney ever and I went with her and her firm without first getting a second opinion. Laura was not as available as I'd have liked for consultation or ongoing needs and appeared unprepared at the lectern when presenting documents in court. She also did not file a key document in a timely manner, which could have resulted in significant consequences. With my case seeming to be mired in complications and costs that I didn't find to be satisfactory, I consulted several other attorneys to obtain additional opinions, then decided to change my counsel. My new counsel brought the case to a rapid and effective resolution at a fraction of what I'd already paid.

Like many attorneys, Laura expresses professionalism and concern for her clients, but my experience was very different on both counts. I will be fairly specific in my review to help others avoid a bad experience. • She often belittled me, trivialized my position, and often even blamed me for the divorce saying, “That’s what you get for marrying a foreigner.” • She objected to face to face meetings, discounted my counsel, ignored requests, submitted stipulation and settlement proposals without my approval, and so on. • She was more concerned with her image than my family. In the end, she actually threatened me if I didn’t reach divorce settlement on her terms. Laura was a personal acquaintance and seemed nice enough, but I would never hire her professionally again. I have many of her comments on audio. Feel free to contact me on social media. I hope this helps you avoid an experience like mine!

Laura was fantastic with my case in which we were "underdogs". She was very professional throughout the process and did her homework before the court date. What I also really liked was the fact that Ms. Johnson and her office associates responded very timely to my questions. I could not be happier with how the case was handled and how I was treated. Thank you.

I retained Laura Johnson thru Cordell & Cordell after my initial consultation with Doug Anderson who is the supervising attorney. I was told that my case was "EXACTLY WHAT THEY PRACTICE" and was a pretty open and shut case. After I was appointed Mrs. Johnson, everything started off well and seemed like we were making progress. about a month after I retained her and $5k in the hole, I started to feel like she didn't have my best interest at heart and boy was I right! When the court date finally came for our temporary hearing and after meeting with her a week before to go over our strategy I felt like we would walk away with a good outcome. When we were in court she looked like she had no clue about my case whatsoever and could not use ANYTHING that we had filed as evidence against my ex. She let her attorney walk all over us!!! Here is the best part!! What attorney agrues with the judge that her clients income is HIGHER than what the judge calculated!!! She literally argued with the judge that my monthly income was $3800+ per month when I had already advised her that she had calculated it wrong and it should of been $3340 a month. The commissioner even came up with the same calculation as me and MY attorney argued against it!!!! so because of that the commissioner did not want to argue with her and ended up going with opposing counsels amount which was 3900+ a month. DO NOT GO WITH THESE ATTORNEYS!!! YOU ARE BETTER OFF DEFENDING YOURSELF
