Highly knowledgeable and skilled attorney
“Kyle is a genius with his writing and legal responses. The last response we filed with the court I had given him the facts of what was going on. He used those as a basis for the arguments being presented to the court, and then worked his magic.”
2
Aggressive and effective representation
“Kyle would have saved me a lot of time and money had I known about him earlier. For me he's been the right balance of being aggressive and getting the changes I've needed and wanted.”
3
Calm and reassuring presence
“Kyle sat with me during the 11 hour mediation of my divorce and was the calm and reassuring presence that I needed.”
4
Personalized and caring approach
“Kyle takes a genuine interest in his clients as he gets to know them personally and truly cares for each of us.”
5
Excellent communication and responsiveness
“They were timely in there responses to my questions. They walked me through the steps and revisited any concerns I might have along the way if something wasn't properly understood.”

Kyle is the best. Period. I said what I said. I had two protective orders against me, and both parties left with restraining orders against them. I love his style personally, and Katelyn is stellar as well. He took on a nice lady in the hallway, too. He is out to help people resolve their legalities, one victory at a time. Kyle’s operation is the best in several states. He truly is “The Divorcer of Apostles.” Not I, of course. I’m just still that impressed weeks later.

Kyle helped me in a child custody case and was absolutely amazing. From day 1 when he heard my circumstances, he Was on board and ready to fight for me! He showed lots of care in my situation and I would recommend him to anyone. If he says he will take your case so it because he will do whatever he can to make sure you come out happy!

Kyle is an excellent attorney. He provides very good and appropriate counsel. One of the things I appreciate the most about him is that he is careful not to over promise and under deliver. He manages expectations well. He absolutely does not create false hopes or make predictions about things that are uncertain. If he were to make predictions I think he would be correct a vast majority of the time though. He understands the law and how things roll out in court. He is especially wise when it comes to what information matters to the court and how it should be presented. The opposition has lacked this skill and I have witnessed them suffer severely and their case get worse than it already was, because of it. I am very confident with him representing me. Anyone else should feel the same. You can trust he will give you the best counsel you can get. My case has been an uphill battle and we have won in every circumstance. Kyle does not offer temporary peace of mind by way of predicting future outcomes in your favor. He doesn't need to. He simply delivers when the time comes and the peace that comes from WINNING is lasting.

I contacted William through email for a consultation on probate, he gladly set up an appointment for me the following week. He was very knowledgeable in this area and provided me with the necessary information I needed regarding my mothers estate. We came to the conclusion that I most likely will not need to go through Probate so I did not need to hire him but It was a pleasure talking with him. I would certainly recommend. Thank very much William I appreciate what you did.

Mr. Fife was very knowledgeable, informative and professional. He advised us of all our options, including the possibility of filing the paperwork ourselves (writ of garnishment). He also advised us of all possible scenarios if we did file. He kept us informed as the case progressed and ALWAYS answered our questions immediately as they arose. We would HIGHLY recommend him to anyone who needs a lawyer in his field.

Adam is supportive and nurturing to his clients , courageous and resolution driven in his interaction with opposing parties and incredibly responsive , overall the most personal, attentive experience I have ever had with an attorney . I am so incredibly greatful to him for ironing out a complex tax situation from the past that frankly I had been just avoiding because I couldn't resolve it myself . Adam relieved my anxiety and managed the problem until it was resolved to my satisfaction. I could not be more impressed . I am so glad I picked up the phone and called him . The next chapter of my life literally has a new beginning because of him !!

All I had to do was tell Mr. Easter once what was going on with the Utah Tax Commission. I had no idea what to do. He immediately told me exactly what information he needed and I never worried another minute about what was happening. He kept me informed and handled everything. The case came back in my favor and I saved a ton of money! Thanks, Adam Easter!

Can a Lawyer Represent Me in Courts Outside of Sandy, Utah?

Whether a lawyer can represent you in courts outside of your city or state depends on their licensure and the jurisdiction of the court:

  • Within the Same State:
Lawyers licensed in a particular state can typically practice anywhere within that state, including all cities and counties. They can represent you in both state and federal courts located in that state.
  • Outside of Their Licensed State:
If your case is in a different state, the lawyer must be licensed in that state to represent you. However, there are exceptions:
    • Pro Hac Vice Admission: An out-of-state lawyer can request special permission to represent a client in a specific case in another state. This requires filing a motion with the court and often working in conjunction with a local attorney.
    • Federal Courts: If your case is in federal court, a lawyer licensed in any state may be able to represent you, provided they are admitted to practice in that particular federal court.
  • International Representation:
For cases outside the United States, different rules apply, and the lawyer may need to comply with the foreign country's legal requirements or collaborate with local counsel.

It's important to discuss your specific situation with the lawyer to determine if they can represent you in the desired jurisdiction and what steps may be necessary to do so.

How to Check the Credibility of a Lawyer

Before hiring a lawyer, it's crucial to verify their credibility and ensure they're qualified to handle your case:

  • Verify Their License:
Check with your state's bar association to confirm the lawyer is licensed and in good standing. Most state bar websites have an online directory for this purpose.
  • Experience and Specialization:
Ensure the lawyer specializes in the area of law relevant to your case. Review their website, professional profiles, and case history.
  • Disciplinary Record:
Look up any history of disciplinary actions or complaints through the state bar association's records.
  • Client Reviews and Testimonials:
Read reviews on legal directories like Avvo, Martindale-Hubbell, Google, or Yelp to gauge client satisfaction and experiences.
  • Professional Memberships:
Membership in professional organizations or specialty bar associations can indicate a commitment to their field and adherence to high ethical standards.
  • Awards and Recognitions:
Honors from reputable organizations reflect expertise and a positive reputation in the legal community.
  • Consultation Assessment:
Use the initial consultation to evaluate their communication skills, responsiveness, and willingness to address your concerns.
  • Ask for References:
A credible lawyer should be willing to provide references from past clients who can speak to their abilities and professionalism.

What Should I Prepare for My First Consultation?

To make the most of your initial meeting with a lawyer, come prepared with:

  • Relevant Documents:
Bring all documents related to your case, such as:
    • Contracts or agreements
    • Correspondence (emails, letters, texts)
    • Legal notices or court papers
    • Financial records (if applicable)
    • Evidence (photos, videos, receipts)
  • Written Summary:
Prepare a concise written summary of your situation, including key dates, events, and parties involved. This helps the lawyer quickly understand the context.
  • List of Questions:
Write down any questions you have about your case, the legal process, fees, or the lawyer's experience.
  • Financial Information:
If your case involves financial matters, bring relevant documents like pay stubs, tax returns, bank statements, or invoices.
  • Contact Information:
Provide details of any witnesses or other parties relevant to your case, including their names and contact information.
  • Personal Identification:
Bring a valid photo ID for verification purposes.
  • Pen and Notebook:
Take notes during the consultation to remember important points discussed.
  • Budget Constraints:
Be ready to discuss your budget and any financial limitations so the lawyer can provide appropriate guidance on fees and payment options.
  • Openness and Honesty:
Be prepared to discuss your case candidly. Full disclosure allows the lawyer to give accurate advice and anticipate potential challenges.
