Pros
1
Excellent communication and responsiveness from the lawyers
“Cory and his team did an absolutely stellar job handling my very complicated accident case. They kept me looped in every step of the way, but also handled so many of the details and interactions with medical providers and insurance companies that I would have struggled to understand, which allowed me to focus on healing and providing for my family.”
2
Knowledgeable, experienced, and skilled attorneys
“Nathan's skill and experience in the courtroom put him a step above any other Defense Attorney that I could find in the State of Utah. Nathan represented me extremely well, kept me informed, and he got a full dismissal of my case.”
3
Compassionate and client-focused approach
“Cory guided us through the legal aspects of our adoption with exceptional support at every step. The entire process was handled with the highest level of professionalism and care. His team was prompt, efficient, and incredibly thorough, ensuring every detail was meticulously managed.”
4
Successful case outcomes and exceeding client expectations
“After meeting Cory, I was impressed with his fight-for-the-underdog attitude. Then, my neighbor had a serious accident. A few days after I gave her his number, he actually showed up at her house! His commitment to customer care is exceptional, and he went above and beyond to take care of her needs.”
5
Strong relationships and respect within the legal community
“I watched him maintain good working relationships with other attorneys. I absolutely trust his opinion and knowledge but he made it clear that I was in control. Whatever decision I made he would work hard for the best outcome.”
Cons
1
Lack of responsiveness and communication from the firm
“Left my name and contact info on their website abou”
2
Expensive legal fees not always justified
“I thought green legal group would be my advocate during my divorce, but they were vultures. 3k got me 5 filled out forms. I never even had a conversation with them. Just a couple emails and a text message.”

I met with a handful of other Lawyers before I settled on Hundley and Harrison. I really felt like this was the best fit for me. I was in over my head with Insurance companies after an accident, further complicated by my own medical insurance coverage. I found that I was kept in the loop, and things were handled professionally and costs were negotiated to significantly more reasonable rates. I needed to set up a trust additionally, and they were able to help with that as well. I'm honestly pleased with this, I felt like my concerns were heard and I was offered sound advice. Hopefully, I don't need a lawyer again but if I do, I'm giving them a call.

Came across this law firm read up on him. He seems like a good fit for my son‘s case when I called to set up an appointment to see about hiring him for a serious charge that my son has the lady was not trying to help me kept telling me that he already has an LDA and that it would be a lot of money to hire him for the seriousness of the crime as if I didn’t have money. I told her that wouldn’t be a problem on saying I could check the price for you if you would like me to!!! Unmmm thanks have a nice day definitely won’t be using them it was clear as day they had no concern for what was happening to my 17 year old son and was only concerned about the money which by the way I do have

Rebekah helped us with a pretty complicated estate plan. We needed two wills and two trusts to meet the needs of our blended family. She took a lot of time getting our full story and hearing our desires for this estate plan. Then she put a lot if thought and time into creating something that really suits our needs and will be adaptable for future changes to our family dynamic. She put everything into a super organized and helpful binder with template forms for areas we need to complete ourselves. We highly recommend Rebekah!

I hired Kevin facing a serious crime, but where the State hadn't done its due diligence and didn't have all the information. Kevin did exactly the right thing, tactfully negotiated with a local prosecutor, and avoided a costly trial with serious repercussions. If you're looking for the best possible outcome, I would retain Kevin.

  4. What is your approach to resolving cases like mine?

Can a Lawyer Represent Me in Courts Outside of South Jordan, Utah?

Whether a lawyer can represent you in courts outside of your city or state depends on their licensure and the jurisdiction of the court:

  • Within the Same State:
Lawyers licensed in a particular state can typically practice anywhere within that state, including all cities and counties. They can represent you in both state and federal courts located in that state.
  • Outside of Their Licensed State:
If your case is in a different state, the lawyer must be licensed in that state to represent you. However, there are exceptions:
    • Pro Hac Vice Admission: An out-of-state lawyer can request special permission to represent a client in a specific case in another state. This requires filing a motion with the court and often working in conjunction with a local attorney.
    • Federal Courts: If your case is in federal court, a lawyer licensed in any state may be able to represent you, provided they are admitted to practice in that particular federal court.
  • International Representation:
For cases outside the United States, different rules apply, and the lawyer may need to comply with the foreign country's legal requirements or collaborate with local counsel.

It's important to discuss your specific situation with the lawyer to determine if they can represent you in the desired jurisdiction and what steps may be necessary to do so.

How to Check the Credibility of a Lawyer

Before hiring a lawyer, it's crucial to verify their credibility and ensure they're qualified to handle your case:

  • Verify Their License:
Check with your state's bar association to confirm the lawyer is licensed and in good standing. Most state bar websites have an online directory for this purpose.
  • Experience and Specialization:
Ensure the lawyer specializes in the area of law relevant to your case. Review their website, professional profiles, and case history.
  • Disciplinary Record:
Look up any history of disciplinary actions or complaints through the state bar association's records.
  • Client Reviews and Testimonials:
Read reviews on legal directories like Avvo, Martindale-Hubbell, Google, or Yelp to gauge client satisfaction and experiences.
  • Professional Memberships:
Membership in professional organizations or specialty bar associations can indicate a commitment to their field and adherence to high ethical standards.
  • Awards and Recognitions:
Honors from reputable organizations reflect expertise and a positive reputation in the legal community.
  • Consultation Assessment:
Use the initial consultation to evaluate their communication skills, responsiveness, and willingness to address your concerns.
  • Ask for References:
A credible lawyer should be willing to provide references from past clients who can speak to their abilities and professionalism.

What Should I Prepare for My First Consultation?

To make the most of your initial meeting with a lawyer, come prepared with:

  • Relevant Documents:
Bring all documents related to your case, such as:
    • Contracts or agreements
    • Correspondence (emails, letters, texts)
    • Legal notices or court papers
    • Financial records (if applicable)
    • Evidence (photos, videos, receipts)
  • Written Summary:
Prepare a concise written summary of your situation, including key dates, events, and parties involved. This helps the lawyer quickly understand the context.
  • List of Questions:
Write down any questions you have about your case, the legal process, fees, or the lawyer's experience.
  • Financial Information:
If your case involves financial matters, bring relevant documents like pay stubs, tax returns, bank statements, or invoices.
  • Contact Information:
Provide details of any witnesses or other parties relevant to your case, including their names and contact information.
  • Personal Identification:
Bring a valid photo ID for verification purposes.
  • Pen and Notebook:
Take notes during the consultation to remember important points discussed.
  • Budget Constraints:
Be ready to discuss your budget and any financial limitations so the lawyer can provide appropriate guidance on fees and payment options.
  • Openness and Honesty:
Be prepared to discuss your case candidly. Full disclosure allows the lawyer to give accurate advice and anticipate potential challenges.
