Last week, I was referred to the Office of Professional Conduct for assistance I am in need of regarding the early (eight weeks?) pregnancy (by a 13-year old boy) of my barely 14-year old granddaughter. The person who answered the phone was Ashlie Pierce, and she very kindly asked me to identify how she could help me. A rather lengthy conversation occurred in which I provided as much information as I could in order to enable her to guide my efforts. At the conclusion of that first phone call, she promised to get back to me after speaking with licensed attorneys in the Ascent Law office. A short time later she called me back and provided me with answers to several of the questions I needed clarification with per the responses she'd received from the attorney(s) she talked with. The guidance she passed on to me per the firm's attorneys resulted in our family being able to eliminate some erroneous ideas that "friends" had suggested to us. She also let me know that if there was any other assistance I might need that I could call her back and she would connect me with the right individuals at Ascent Law. I have always appreciated when somebody has gone out of their way to provide me with assistance, and I wanted to let Ascent Law know that Ashlie's effort not only made it unnecessary for me to speak with anybody else at this time, but also informed me that I had made contact with exactly the type of law firm that I will turn to if my granddaughter's condition doesn't change for the better.
