Tom represented me in a serious criminal matter. This was my first time having any sort of run-in with the law so of course I was very anxious. Tom was compassionate and is a truly generous man. But do not for second believe this man is not a wise and aggressive defender. He will fight hard and work his tail off for you. It is as if the law is second nature to him. He is the expert you want on your side. Tom was able to get me a much more doable sentence. He is a straight shooter and will not waste your time. He also will keep you informed every step of the way.

Tom represented me in a DC criminal matter in 2012, resulting in a major reduction in a serious charge, a dismissal, and, ultimately, the charge being removed my my record. He is very responsive to calls/emails and an all around good person. I would, without reservation, enthusiastically recommend Tom. Tom represented me in a civil suit that just settled in August, 2015. He is an excellent lawyer and I recommend him without reservation and would definitely use him again myself. Although I had insurance in place that would have covered at least a portion of the claim against me, I engaged Tom because I was additionally being sued for punitive damages, which insurance does not cover, and there was a chance that a settlement or jury trial would exceed my insurance amount. Tom represented me very well both in advising on strategy and tactics against the plaintiff and in providing checks and balances on my insurance company's counsel. Tom gave advice that resulted in the most efficient path possible and was informed by current experience in his practice. The settlement ended up being within my policy limits and had no punitive damages or any other expenses for me personally. Tom also was very efficient in the use of his time, which resulted in a very reasonable tab for his advice.
