Rude, lacks compassion, and only trying to make a quick buck. Takes on cases he has no business working on and isn’t forthcoming on his experience; doesn’t even follow up with the correct parties for supporting documents. Gives good lawyers a bad name.

Mr. DeVita represented me in traffic court and did an outstanding job. He provided great counsel and negotiated a favorable settlement. He is an experienced attorney and would recommend him.

I asked Mr. DeVita for assistance with a business problem I had in dealing with another individual who was misrepresenting my actions. He spent a long time talking with me and reviewing my situation, and then he was willing to pursue the matter to its completion. I was very pleased with the outcome. I would absolutely use him again and I have referred him to others. I talked with him about another legal problem I had that was outside of his area of expertise and he referred me to another competent attorney. So I was pleased in all ways each time I talked with him.

In both cases, Mr. DeVita demonstrated superior courtroom vision and presence. His extensive knowledge of legal principles combined with his outstanding analytical ability resulted in a quick analysis of each case and successful results. An excellent legal strategist and tactician, Mr. DeVita's command of the courtroom and determination are what every reasonable client should be fortunate enough to have in their corner. Worst lawyer I have ever dealt with in my life. He is unprofessional and uncaring. Did not follow up and made me feel completely abandoned. He was unsuccessful in my case and in one instance he lost to my ex-wife who did not even have an attorney. Horrible person run the other way and never retain him.

I hired and was officially retained by Mr. James Devita (www.devitalaw.com last year as a Family lawyer. He was extremely confident in my case at first and sent out a financial demand letter to the defendants in our case. However, once the defendants hired their own lawyer, I realize James Devita had not done the appropriate research required for my case and when he decided that my case wasn't a 'done deal monetarily speaking', he dropped me immediately. In addition, he rarely returned my calls and sometimes when he did call my number, he was confused as to whom he was calling.... this was my expereince, but before hiring him as your personal lawyer, please do your research.
