I'm not a client of Alex's but for a few months we've had a close professional relationship. What struck me about him is that he lives "from within" -- you might say that what you see is what you get, and what you get is the same from day to day and situation to situation, the valuable product not only of experience but of careful and broad-minded reflection. Untainted by ambition but ambitious and hard-working nonetheless, he sees the good in what he's doing and that's enough for him. He treats his employees with respect, cordiality, and even friendliness. Alex seems like one of those refreshing people who has learned to think not so much about himself, and for it he actually makes the people around him better. I can't speak firsthand to his legal expertise, but if his broad learning in other areas is any indication, he is truly excellent at what he does. You would be lucky if you went to him for legal counsel and came away with a friend, but if you came away only with legal counsel you'll be happy you did.
