I was very pleased with my experience with Livesay & Myers and in particular my attorney Amanda Stone Swart and paralegal Donna Fernandez. Amanda always looked out for my best interests and had a great balance of assertiveness and cautious approach with my time (therefore $). My ex wife's Fairfax county attorney, made what should have been a very simple case an absolute nightmare. I got to see (as did my ex wife) first hand what damage $$$$ an overly aggressive attorney not looking out for their clients best interest can do. Amanda constantly attempted to talk sense into my wife's attorney as to sitting down and coming to a simply distribution of assets. Amanda is very knowledgeable and I felt like I was always given realistic expectations at every point in the process, even when things got very messy. I cannot thank Anne Prentice and Margaret Stanley enough for their efforts in securing child support my children. Anne remained consummate in her support of my case through the entire yearlong effort. Her tenacious was absolute and non-relenting at the end of the case when opposing counsel was delinquent in our request for information. I cannot thank the entire Livesay & Myers team for helping to make a better life for my children. I highly recommend Anne and Margaret if you every have a family law issue.

I cannot say enough good things about Jonathan McHugh and Tatyana Spurgeon. They are professional, courteous, understanding, sympathetic, reasonable, and are both extremely good at what they do. They both respond to emails literally within minutes, which blew me away considering how many cases they are working on at once. They know the legal system inside and out, and they know how to approach things in a manner that will provide the best chance of a favorable outcome. Unfortunately, having to secure their services probably means you're going through a difficult time in your life, but having a team that is as good as John and Tatyana will provide comfort in an otherwise stressful time. John and Tatyana are phenomenal. Hands down.

I am very pleased with Ms. Anne Prentice Lawyer, Ms. Margaret Stanley (Gigi) and Amanda Conard for their excellent support during my divorce case. They were incredibly kind, honest, patient and promptly notified and guided me through the entire process. I am so glad I paid a bit more but it was more than worth it. Divorce is not easy on the individual or the family. Ariel and Tatyana helped me through a very difficult time with compassion, expertise, and thoroughness. The support and guidance I received from Ariel and Tatyana was instrumental and provided a lot of comfort knowing my interest were always well represented. I had a complex situation and they were able to navigate it for me with finesse and a resolution and outcome I was hoping for. Ariel and Tatyana were always prompt and very diligent, and never shied to give it to me straight, if I wanted to hear it or not. Ariel fought for my interests at all times and was a called a “pitull” by opposing counsel, a term I thought was one of flattery and highlighted the focus and unwillingness to not have my interests, and the interests of my 2 children, as her number one priority. The best choice I made was selecting Livesay & Myers and thank you again to Ariel and Tatyana!

Ms. Prentice assisted us with a step parent adoption. We were unfamiliar with the process and slightly overwhelmed by the idea, but upon our first meeting we immediately felt confidant that the process would go smoothly. It was my second time in about 2 years working with the attorneys at Livesay & Myers. This time, I worked with Jon McHugh and Dani Humiston (paralegal). Both were friendly, yet professional, people to work with. Stayed on top of things in a timely and efficient manner. Everything was resolved in shorter-than-expected time. I felt I was being taken care of and properly advised every step of the way. Although I pray I don’t need Custody/Visitation services again, if I ever do, I will call Livesay & Myers a third time!
