A tragedy in our family's lives lead us to the need for legal representation. Bob Byne not only took us on as clients, but became a part our family. Compassionate and tough. Bob navigated and supported our family through a difficult time and onto a very positive outcome resulting in much closure for all of us. He had the impressive ability to analyze and look at our case from all angles and find options to "attack". He then helped us to make the winning decision that was best for us as a family. I can't recommend Bob and his team at Martin Wren more highly. Thank you, Bob, and grateful you were on our "team"!

Attorney Jones was a welcoming enough man with many pleasantries when I met up with him to discuss handling my aunt's estate in May 2021. He commented how simple the estate was and explained the procedure to file with the Albemarle Court and closing the estate. The contract with his office noted his hourly rate as well as the legal aid's hourly rate. Summary of our dealing with Attorning Jones ... It is hard to believe an "experienced" attorney needed to do so much research and still was unable to move our filing forward. All work billed at his rate. Very disappointed that Attorney Jones accomplished setting up the court date for us and after two months billed us for $13,000. We had conference calls to determine what additional work was being worked on for the estate closer. Lots of uncertainty and he'd have to research with the court. We finally terminated Attorney Jones in September, and then received an additional $8800 invoice. We contacted MartinWren with no response from the law firm. Since then, we selected another law office and have determined it should have only cost us approximately $6000 total for completing the whole estate work for which they are very efficient and helpful !!!!! Very frustrating experience with MartinWren!!! Would not recommend!!! $22,000 for Attorney Jones to set us up to go to a court date, and not even come close to completing the estate.

Best service I've ever received from an attorney at any phase in my life. Lauren Byrne was very professional and responsive at every turn. I've never been more honored to write a review for a service. I am currently in the a different state and not once did it seem like a issue throughout my legal battle. Thanks so much for the treating your clients with such care. If ever there is another situation that arises I will not hesitate to call.

I was clueless about law, and what kind of case I might have. Jonathan Wren helped inform me that I had a case, and led me throughout the process. I cannot speak highly enough of the professionalism and responsiveness I received from Jonathan. He was quick to answer questions, clear with deadlines, and truthful about case progress. I worked with John Simpson for about eighteen months regarding an issue with my home. At no point did I feel like I was being led on by Mr. Simpson - he's a straight shooter with integrity who provided excellent council with an abundance of patience and caution. Additionally, the office staff were always pleasant and immediately responsive - my calls, emails, and voicemails were returned or addressed promptly.

I would not recommend this firm, especially, Mr. G. Raye Jones. He lacks compassion and decency and has failed to behave ethically on my behalf, though that is what I engaged him to do. He rushed the estate through probate, and against my wishes had probate closed without my approval, and now there are legal issues and he has failed to represent me, saying he “didn’t know” some facts that were put forth at our very first meeting. I am disappointed in Mr. Jones, who fails to meet his legal obligation.
