Bryan Jones assisted me with post-conviction relief in a difficult criminal case, and he was so tremendously knowledgeable and capable that I retained him to advocate for me in the out-of-state military divorce that followed. I appointed him attorney-in-fact over my finances during incarceration, and he maintains the highest standard of professional ethics. He keeps detailed and complete records of every transaction, and he successfully manages demand deposit (checking and savings), credit, and insurance accounts for me. He effectively navigates the intimidating bureaucracy of VADOC, an admirable feat in itself. I retained him again to coordinate my reentry planning, and I am currently residing in the clean and safe apartment he leased for me with power of attorney. I highly recommend Bryan Jones in any criminal or civil matter. He is a compassionate and dedicated advocate and absolutely trustworthy.

I met with several attorneys to help with a recent case. Bryan was the only one that took the time to ask questions and better understand me, my background, and the situation I found myself in. Every other attorney told me that I had no choice but to accept some fairly harsh penalties to which I was facing. Bryan spent a good amount of time listening to me, afterwards stating that he believed he could help minimize those penalties. When everyone else told me this was not possible, Bryan expressed confidence in his ability to help. And Bryan delivered. Bryan helped me get my gun rights restored from a conviction in Va. back in 1977. I have lived in NC since 1988 and Bryan was able to complete this task with me only having to make one trip to Charlottesville. Bryan helped me in a speeding ticket in Shenandoah national park. There are not much lawyers in this area that takes this type of ticket. Bryan is the most responsive one among those lawyers. He is professional. His responses are quick and precise. He was able to draft a motion for me so that I don't have to fly from west coast to east coast to appear at court. Other lawyers, either they don't know the motion or ask me to draft the motion.

Bryan was helpful and responsive throughout my case. He either answered the phone or called me back right away. He was ultimately able to get my charge reduced and I did not even have to appear in court.

I was incarcerated on felony drug charges. I was assigned a public defender who was a civil litigator. After her review of the case she advised me to plead guilty which meant a minimum of three and a maximum of fifteen years in a state prison. I was concerned about getting competent representation so I used Avvo to screen various attorneys. I came across the profile of Bryan Jones and based upon his experience in criminal cases and the positive reviews I read I hired him. We discussed fees and Bryan was sensitive to the fact that my financial resources were very limited. After reaching an agreement of fees Bryan reviewed my case and advised me on various courses we could pursue. Our goal became to get help with my drug problem and to that end Bryan worked to get me sentenced to a rehabilitation program. The judge was inclined to impose a long prison sentence but Bryan was able to work with the prosecuting attorney and a physician to recommend a rehab program. The judge reluctantly agreed and I am going to attend that program. If you are in need of legal counsel, especially in the area of criminal representation I recommend, without hesitation, Bryan Jones.

Mr. Jones did a great job with my case. He was able to get a misdemeanor charge reduced to a traffic violation. He was easy to work with, and made himself very available either by telephone or email. He was confident and reassuring through what was otherwise a stressful experience. I would not hesitate to use his services again.
