I had a great experience with James Short and his assistant Karen. They both answered all of our questions thoroughly and were very helpful. I will not hesitate to use them again and I highly recommend them.

Mr. Short was very attentive, transparent, and easy to work with. He communicated effectively and proactively to ensure I fully understood my options and all possible outcomes. He charged a flat fee up front so it was good not having to worry about attorney expenses throughout the process.

Mr. Short was really helpful, answered all my questions, and was understanding about how stressful my situation was. My schedule made it very challenging to meet with Mr. Short in person, but he was great about finding time that worked for both of us so we could meet. Mr. Short and his staff were very helpful for my son and his traffic tickets. Because we live in another state, and because my sons work schedule in the Navy is unconventional, we needed the guidance. There patience was also much appreciated. The things he helped with pre-trial made a big difference in the outcome and prevented a insurance nightmare today. We are very pleased with what Mr. Short did for us.

altho he couldn’t make my date he was so much help on the phone! he answered all my questions and did everything in his power to help! he was even out eating dinner and paused what he was doing for me!!

DO NOT GET SHORT AS A LAWYER!!!! He is a court appointed lawyer with a semi cheap suit and a $2000 fee!!!! I should’ve been told to pre enroll and asap classes, AA meetings, or/and something to better help my case… like the court appointed lawyer told his client… His only priority (well for me was to get me 1yr suspended license with interlock) YES!!!! I had a refusal however I had a 5+ on my driving record and nothing else (no criminal, no traffic no NOTHING) I seen the court appointed lawyer doing a better job before my case than him….PLEASE DO A BETTER AT RESEARCH THAN ME.. After I told him finances was a problem he said “if $150 is a lot then I can’t help you” (after I told him I was filling bankruptcy because I’m going through a separation) bottom line if you can find better do better!!!!!…….

I had a consult with Mr. Short a couple of years ago and he gave me sound legal advice. I appreciate so much that he was honest and didn't try to pressure or persuade me into retaining his services when not necessary. Because of his integrity I will seek his counsel if ever needed in the future. Thank you, sir!

I’m glad I had Mr Short on my side while dealing with a dui and refusal. Mr Short and his assistant was always there when I needed them however I wish I was told or advised to go to AA meetings or pre-enroll in VASAP.. I believe it would’ve helped my case A LOT!!!!!
