Mark Andrews , literally the BEST DUI lawyer by far. I was nervous because I thought we were suppose to communicate more than what we did .. ( but I guess that’s what happens when you have a great lawyer ) Mark got my DUI - 1st offense knocked down to reckless driving with no points taken off my license & not going against my driving record & my refusal to blow dismissed .. Hands down best DWI attorney in Chesapeake. Case dismissed. I called Mr. Andrews after my first my first lawyer botched my case in General District Court. Both my previous attorney and Mr. Andrews have spectacular resumes, but the difference in performance in the courtroom was night and day. Mark was actively engaged in taking notes on the prosecution’s argument, he knew pretty much everything the prosecution was going to argue, and he effectively articulated my defense. I regret not calling him first. There isn’t a better lawyer. He and his assistant Jessica were very responsive. They were very helpful, the communication was clear, my expectations were exceeded. Even before the trial, I remember thinking how satisfied I was just from talking to him about the case and no matter the outcome, that I would be at peace with it just because I knew we weren’t going to leave anything on the table and that I was going to get the best representation I could hope for. His assistant Jessica set up a phone meeting with us a couple of days before the trial to go over the case. He reviewed body cam footage and the police report, talked to me to hear my side of things, and made a smart decision on how to approach the case in court. On the day of the trial, we had a few hours before the case was heard. Mark was able to calm my nerves, build my confidence, and explained how the trial was going to be conducted. During the trial, he had a rebuttal for just about everything the prosecutor argued. Armed with his knowledge of the law and previous court decisions he was able to convince the judge that there wasn’t sufficient evidence to warrant a conviction and the case was dismissed. Each case is different and the outcome is impossible to predict. With Mark Andrews, you will get the best representation possible and the best chance at a favorable outcome. He’s the attorney police officers will hire. You can research and interview other attorneys, but I guarantee you will not find anyone at his level of performance. Don’t spend your time or money on anyone else.
