Horrible. UPDATED and detailed review after the attorney wrote her absurd reply : If you're looking for an attorney who specializes in "I don't know," look no further. This "professional" was completely clueless and offered zero support or guidance. AVOID at all costs! As a domestic violence survivor, I sought legal advice from this attorney regarding a straightforward matter created by my abusive ex. Indeed we spent 17 minutes on the phone where I explained the situation and instead of having her providing clear guidance with the confidence she should have, she offered a masterclass in uncertainty! Her responses were a comical blend of 'I don't know' and 'you should talk to another attorney.' Believe it or not! She told me a couple of times thatI should talk to an attorney! And I told her : This is why I’m calling you!!! She seemed completely insecure, full of uncertainties despite its relative simplicity of my case. Her lack of knowledge and empathy with survivors (HENCE WHY SHE WROTE: “you have landed yourself in a horrible situation and you are angry…” in her reply both shocking and disappointing. I’m infuriated with the lack of empathy (specially coming from a woman!) and lack of knowledge. I started and finished the call without any type of answer other than “ I don’t know”. Not only was she incompetent, but she was also incredibly expensive. She quoted exorbitant fees for basic legal services, including a staggering $2500 just to accompany me to a magistrate so I could be served, $2500 for a bond hearing that, again , she didn’t know if it would be happening, when, or if it would be given or necessary, an additional $2500 for each additional hearing that , obviously, she doesn’t know if, when, how would be happening or how many more hearings would be necessary. The total cost for her services? She doesn’t know neither. It's clear that quality legal representation will not be offered by her, therefore I decided to end the call that was taking us nowhere! I thanked her for the call, said bye and wrote in my contact list Horrible criminal attorney in VA, so I don’t call her again. I left a HONEST review here saying just that my experience was horrible, and instead of her apologizing that I had an unfortunate experience with her, she replied to my review attacking and putting the blame on me. Therefore, I came back here to write the full context. I strongly advise anyone considering hiring this individual to think twice. You deserve better. You don’t want to be represented in court by someone that has no clue what she is doing and is full of uncertainties instead of working with you to prepare a strategy and strongly represent you in case it’s necessary, she is able to cause even more confusion and not answer any questions effectively. Telling that she was ‘lecturing me law’ , that I wanted her to ‘teach me law’ is the furthest thing from the truth : 1st because I don’t want to learn the law, I contacted her to HIRE an attorney! Don’t teach me law! Do your job!!! 2nd because how can I expect her to teach me things “She doesn’t know”, as she repeated multiple times? Pathetic.
