Rude, unprofessional lawyer. Kept interrupting me the entire time on the phone, and kept talking about how much money the case was going to cost (well, guess what, she doesn’t know my net worth and I could easily afford whatever she may charge), when I tried to make a question or explain the situation, she proceeded to tell me that it was over 30 minutes that we were talking (actually SHE was), and I wasn’t paying her. I was never advised it was a 30 minute consultation in the first place but given her behavior (end up hanging up in her face), I wouldn’t even bother. Update: Given her arrogant response, that’s pretty much all you need to know about this person. If people want a “free consultation”, then you should charge them in order to let them speak and be treated decently, ma’m. Otherwise, perhaps don’t take new clients at all. Unless you are a psychic to know their case before speaking to them. Also, if you “do not wish to take the case”, or “do not handle a specific case”, you may try to simply tell the person in order to avoid wasting their time listening to you interrupting them on the phone for a good 30 minutes. And it does seem like you were very much concerned about money on the phone - hence my comment - given you mostly kept interrupting me to talk about how much money the case was going to cost. Just an advice: You don’t know clients financials. But good luck to you too
