I wouldn't recommend this office never in my life. Not only have I been waiting 10 months for a divorce that they had told me would not take more than 3 or 4 months, I sent them the email below on 3/12/2024 and today, 4/2/2024, I am still waiting for a response from the lawyer as her assistant. As I mentioned in the email, my case is no more or less important than all the others. In my opinion, this poor professional behavior is totally unacceptable, even more so when payment for the services was delivered at the time of requesting their services. Good Afternoon, Could I please receive an accurate and current update on the status of my case? At this point I don't know what to believe. It's important to note that I never received any follow-up communication; I had to initiate contact every month, only to be informed repeatedly that we were simply awaiting the newspaper. The situation has reached a point of absurdity, with the court now requesting information from me after 9 months. It's perplexing why this information is being sought at this late stage, especially considering that I provided all documents required when I initially sought and paid for your services. I am submitting the requested information in the hope of bringing a resolution to this matter once and for all. However, I strongly feel that First Point Law could improve its customer service and case follow-up. While I understand that you may handle numerous cases, mine is no different from any other. We are approaching nearly a year for what should be a straightforward divorce, and the delay is disconcerting. Regarding the affidavit, as I communicated to Silvina, I am hesitant to sign it. Upon investigating the status of the case, I discovered that he was incarcerated twice in 2023, which contradicts point number 2 stating that neither of us is currently incarcerated. Silvina argues that this discrepancy "represents" the time of filing for divorce, but it's crucial to note that I am signing the document in March 2024, not back in 2023. This misalignment in timing raises concerns about the accuracy of the information presented.
